Hotel du Vieux Port

Hotel du Vieux Port

📍 108 Prom. Commandant Guilbaud, Saint-Raphaël, Saint-Raphael
★★★ 8.8 (19 reviews)

"The old port hotel is located directly opposite the port center, and it is a short walk from the railway station and bus station. It is also a short walk to the two beaches. The deluxe room is spacious and clean, and the sewer is heavy, and the floor-to-ceiling windows need to be opened to disperse the smell. The bathroom is quite large, but the shower is small, and it is difficult to turn around if you are large. Some daily necessities such as shower caps and slippers are not configured, and Wifi is basically unavailable, which does not match the deluxe room. Staff are friendly and willing to help."

Mercure Saint Raphael Centre Plage

Mercure Saint Raphael Centre Plage

📍 101 Prom. René Coty, Saint-Raphael
★★★★ 8.9 (67 reviews)

"Very good little hotel in the center of the town. Friendly reception staff. Our room was bigger than I expected with good bedding and bathroom amenities. The heating system is set on very warm, but you can easily turn it off and it becomes comfortable to sleep at night. Breakfast is western style and has many different yummy foods to choose from. I was impressed with the variety of teas Palais Des Thés that you can brew yourself. This tea is the best tea in France and world famous!"

Les Roches Rouges, a Beaumier Hotel

📍 90 Bd de la 36ème division du Texas, Saint-Raphael
★★★★★ 9.1 (68 reviews)

"We stayed here for our honeymoon in early October. We were nervous about getting bad weather, but lucked out and had sun the whole time. We got to enjoy the pool and warm water. We had a fabulous stay. The entire staff was very nice and welcoming and always there to answer questions or help with travel needs. The hotel itself was one of the most gorgeous places I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. The room was super cute and stylish, spa was relaxing, eating area was very nice. There’s lots of little areas to hang out. The only (somewhat) issue we had was getting to and from train station walking with our luggage. We could’ve planned better. Otherwise we would most definitely stay again if we have the chance."

Hotel Provencal

Hotel Provencal

📍 195 Rue de la Garonne, Saint-Raphael
★★★ 8.8 (40 reviews)

"Well-located hotel, the only downside is the very light breakfast for 14 euros per person. If I come back, I'll have breakfast outside. The room is a bit noisy due to the exterior work, which is expected to last several months, we were told at reception."

Sowell Hotels la Plage

Sowell Hotels la Plage

📍 3235 Rte de la Corniche, Saint-Raphael
★★★★ 8.2 (52 reviews)

"The hotel is too far from the center, it is not possible to walk every day. Restaurant room too small. Bar no seats when it rains the terrace we abandon it??? . The lunch basket not during times when it rains every day. The staff is very good. the cleaning ladies are very professional and friendly. the waiters were very nice, very accommodating, except for this young French trainee perhaps who was carrying her tray around instead of clearing it. The roadside terrace isn't great but as it was raining it wasn't a problem. As for frozen versus frozen meals?? and the buffet is not spread out enough, you don't have room. We will not return to Sowell St Raphaël. We wouldn't say no to checking out other Sowell hotels."

Le Touring

"5 stars posted, 3 deserved. Non-existent double glazing, the first two nights without sleeping. We were exhausted and needed to rest. So after the 1st night we anticipated by asking them to accept an early departure free of charge if the second night was like the 1st. This was the case, the marching band until midnight. We wanted to shorten 3 nights, the answer was no. I asked for someone from management to come and see the sound of the brass band under the windows at 11:30 p.m. but obviously no one came. Don't look for the manager, he is non-existent, yet he passed by us. With 10 rooms in all in the hotel I think he knew who we were. You know Mr. Manager, if you had deigned to meet dissatisfied customers things would have been said and not written here. This is a miscalculation on your part. When I explained my noise problem to the receptionist, his response was astonishing: "yes, but Madam, you are booking a hotel in the city center! you had to find out first! “It is well known, in the center of NY or Paris, customers who book in hotels do not sleep!!!! I'm dumb !!!! They are downtown! Ridiculous breakfast (see photo), non-existent sense of service. The only ones who deserve kudos are the ladies who take care of the rooms as well as the young man in the outside bar in the morning (who worked at Costes). The Director would have a lot to learn from this gentleman in terms of dress, customer orientation and professionalism. Don't expect 5 stars, it's not."

Village Pierre & Vacances Cap Esterel Hotels in Saint-Raphael

Village Pierre & Vacances Cap Esterel

"Shaby apartment with loose door handles and mini-moo bathroom, ridiculously small for four (and meant for 5!) with a ‘bed’ on which it’s impossible to sleep without banging your head. Music from L’ecole du cirque nearby guaranteed until 23:00PM with no apologies: you can book activities with l’Ecole du cirque (making you think there is a kind of partnership between the two, so things like noise level can be negotiated) but when it comes to aforementioned noise level being way too high and going on while you try to sleep: “L’Ecole du cirque is independent and has nothing to do with Pierre et vacances”. What a joke!!!! There is no airco in the rooms either and if you try to sleep on your balcony to get some fresh air, be aware that your neighbours are allowed to speak until any time of the night and of course smoke (cigar included) as they wish! We’re in the 21st century but Pierre et Vacances has not yet integrated the concept of “No Noise after 23:00pm” and a no smoking policy on the balconies while creating smoking areas FAR from where people live and sleep. People and kids shout on the streets when going back to their accommodation at night, some hairs were found on two pillows when we arrived, music and entertainment is a must of the village until 23:00 (too bad if you have a migraine that night!). I was very nostalgic of Pierre et Vacances, which my parents booked to go skiing when I was a child. This experience has cured me of my nostalgia for good. Fortunately, the staff is friendly. That makes me feel a bit better. Ps: Pierre et Vacances please pass on this comment to L’Ecole du Cirque so that next year they may think of starting earlier…. And finish earlier too!!"

"We stayed for 1 night in June 2025. Staff very helpful, rooms clean with nice view of sea from balcony. Parking at front of hotel was no problem. We were also permitted to leave our baggage with reception and use the pool facilities before we checked in. Our experience was nothing like the other negative reviews on here, and was very good value for the South of France."

Hôtel le Clos du Dramont

"It was our Ruby wedding anniversary on 1st July and as we were very familiar with Frejus / St Raphael in the south of France having previously owned a mobile home there for sixteen years, we decided to treat our two adult children to a long weekend in the area. So via an eighty minute, ontime flight to Nice and a hire car we made our way to the Auberge Provencale at Le Dramont, just to the east of St Raphael. I chose it unseen, as it seemed reasonable value and rustic. We had to book as far back as September last year as rooms for the season were going fast. On arrival, which is a little tricky to find, we found a quaint and rustic two star hotel with buckets of charm. We were met by the owner, a middle aged guy who speaks no - I mean no English. Even so we managed with our bits of French and much gesticulating to be shown our rooms. Ours was small, comfortable for our short stay, shower, sink, air conditioning, very comfortable double bed, telephone and enough storage. It is not five star but spotlessly clean and even has free WIFi. The weather was scorching so the outside eating area at breakfast was superb. Croissants, rolls, jams, juice, butter and coffee or hot chocolate. There is free car parking ten metres across the very quiet road. I make this a four star rating based on whatis offered and expected for the money paid. I would certainly stay there again."

Hôtel et Appart Hôtel les Flots Bleus Hotels in Saint-Raphael

Hôtel et Appart Hôtel les Flots Bleus

"This hotel is right by the beach at the Calanque of Altheor, but also underneath the historic train viaduct. So there is noise around this hotel but the motorbikes on the road are the most annoying, you don’t really notice the trains. We wanted a room with a kitchenette and that’s why we chose this hotel. Once upon a time it obviously had a restaurant but now it only does breakfast and the rooms seem to have been converted mostly to small studios with facilities. There is adequate shaded parking. The room was very modern and fresh with plenty of storage, good lighting, a modern bathroom and new kitchenette as well as a nice balcony. From our room overlooking the beach we could hear the waves lapping on the shore. The kitchenette is well thought out with a hob, microwave and even a mini dishwasher. A decent supply of crockery and utensils as well as washing up liquid and salt and pepper. There was a Nespresso machine but we were only given 2 capsules for 3 days. We used the kettle. There is a safe in the room which is handy for going to the beach or using the small but very pleasant heated pool. The beach was raked every morning and never got too busy while we were there. Breakfast was included and was a good quality typical French one with cereal, some fruit, lovely bread, yogourts, cheese, eggs and cold meat. It was served on the very attractive terrace. It must have been a lovely restaurant. You are about 2 miles from Agay with restaurants and basic services (and a good launderette) and a bit further from St Raphael for decent supermarkets and services. You can drive up onto the Massif d’Esterel where there are great views and walks, but there isn’t much you can walk to from the hotel. However the train seems to stop regularly at Antheor and the station is about 10 minutes walk so you would not have to be dependent on the car. Overall we enjoyed this hotel and its surroundings."

"Fabulous location, service, loved it. Pools sensational. Hotel restaurant was great, just ate at the casual one. Plenty of restaurants nearby. One on the beach a ten minute walk from the hotel for drinks and snacks and casual meal. Only improvement would be a better poolside lunch menu."

"This isn't my first time at this hotel. It's perfect value for money. I liked that there's individual air conditioning and the window opens. There was a small balcony. I could get some fresh air and dry my swimsuit. The bed was comfortable. It's five minutes from the train station. The sea is the same. It's important to note that check-in is strictly at three, as stated on the website. There's a kettle and toiletries. I'll be back. I'll be back."

"Room that stinks of mustiness and humidity, difficult access to our room 300, the buffet leaves something to be desired, dining room far too small, it reminds me of the cafeteria at high school! In short, very disappointed. Exorbitant price for the service."
