The Cedars ★★★★

📍 20 Church St, St Day, Redruth

"My dad and I stayed at The Cedars during our bike-packing trip of the West Kernow Way. We had had an extremely wet and cold ride that day and had to cut our route short a little, meaning we arrived at the B&B a couple hours earlier than planned. Luckily, Janet was there only a few minutes after us and she welcomed us in such a friendly and warm manner. She straightaway offered to hang up all our soggy kit in her airing cupboard and it was toasty dry and ready for us in the morning. The room was cosy and comfortable, perfect for what we needed and the helpful recommendation of eating at The Star Inn in Vogue meant we were able to get a warm meal on such a miserable evening. Janet was so attentive throughout our stay, ensuring that we had everything we needed, including a dry and locked area for our very muddy bikes overnight. This definitely put our minds at ease and meant the only thing we needed to worry about was being ready for our next day's ride. Breakfast was a great continental selection and perfectly poached eggs - ideal fuel for our day's adventure. I couldn't recommend a stay at The Cedars more - to anyone wanting a home away from home atmosphere with lovely hosts!"

Wesley House Holiday Cottages ★★★

📍 Wesley House, Lanner, Redruth

"Wesley House is a real hidden gem of a campsite. We were amazed to find it peaceful and uncrowded even in August. Martin and Sam made us feel like guests, and have a policy of not crowding campers in like sardines. They seem to have found the balance between running a very clean and tidy site without making lots of rigid rules. There were nice hospitable touches like a kettle, microwave and fridge in the kitchen, books and games to borrow and picnic benches dotted around the site. The location is off the busy tourist trail but still less than 15 minutes drive from stunning beaches, and has walking trails on the doorstep. Already planning when we can come back"

Penventon Park Hotel ★★★★
"The Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth truly stands out as an exceptional choice. Every single staff member is incredibly kind and friendly, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. It's undoubtedly one of the best options in the area, especially for families with children, who also have a delightful time during their stay. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including a swimming pool, bar, restaurant, and convenient car park, making it a great choice for those driving. Additionally, it's only about a 20-minute drive to Hayle Bay and around 25 minutes to St. Michael's Mount, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend The Penventon Park Hotel for anyone visiting the area."

The Cedars ★★★★
"My wife Pam & I stayed for a week in early September. The room was spacious, with en-suite facilities. and was clean & cosy. It looked out over the spacious well-kept garden, with ducks running about. The breakfast offered a good choice, including the traditional English Breakfast, served in a well laid out conservatory, also looking out on to the garden. (If the weather had been a bit warmer, we would have had it outside on the decking). Janet & David, our hosts were excellent looking after us & helpful on places to eat locally & places to visit. The Cedars, with ample off-road parking, was very central for our days out, to many of Cornwall's sights & attractions. Thank you, Janet & David."

Wesley House Holiday Cottages ★★★
"To date we have only camped on the camp site This Campsite is simply the best !!!! The site owners Martin and Sam have put so much effort and dedication into this site it’s value , as a holiday destination can not be fully put in to words . We have always taken a tent however when we have visited we have seen Camper Vans on the site The site is quite it is idyllic. This is managed well by the owners who ask all the right questions when you book. So please be honest with them and you won’t be disappointed. The customer demographic is clear on the web site if you fit the outline demographic this site is for you and your family. It’s central location is ideal for visiting all cornwall has to offer . The site is made up of three small fields each one offering seclusion with a view The grass pitches are ideal Each field has a water point The Showers and kitchen area are located in the perfect position in the middle field You can wash and dry dishes in the kitchen and there is a fridge with sufficient storage allocated for each pitch, you can charge your Mobile if you must in the kitchen, there are two beautiful showers and two toilets, with lots of hot water , all are spotless well maintained and decorated with some beautiful little touches the owners have put their heart and souls in to this site and it shows, they care. No ,there are no power hookups !!! Your camping. No there are no Hard standings your camping !!! This is our go to site for Cornwall and for forays in to Devon Thanks to Sam and Martin for making our Holiday special and relaxing for a second year in a row. And if you don’t want to camp , Check out the Holiday Cottages !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sam and Martin gave us a tour during guest change over. The cottages are amazing So many amazing touches from huge walk in wet floor showers to hand crafted polished wood basins beautiful"
