"Having stayed at the Petrie Mill Motel several times during the last few years the decision to stay there again while in Brisbane attending a recent family funeral in was an easy one to make. The motel itself was clean and well maintained, the rooms are a good size, well appointed, and well priced. The location is great with a small shopping center next door and multiple dining options within easy walking distance (including an onsite café that does great weekend breakfasts and evening meals Thursday, Friday, & Saturday). The motel has excellent access to Brisbane Airport and several major north side shopping complexes. Access to Brisbane CBD is also easy with the Petrie railway station only a five minute walk away. Without a doubt the standout feature of this motel has to be the wonderfully friendly and helpful manager, Alison. As always from the moment we arrived until the time we left we were treated like lifelong friends rather than just customers and nothing was too much trouble. The only downside to keep in mind is that, through the week, there are a lot of “tradies” and road workers staying the motel and this can result in added noise during the early hours of the morning as they head of to work. All in all, it’s great motel in a great location and I would be happy to stay there again."
