"The location is actually very convenient, but the road is densely navigated and the error is reported. It is difficult to find at night. The landlord came to pick it up in person. The room was bigger than expected, and the package and breakfast were very life-oriented. Just met the car market and passed the life of the locals. The top of the mountain is really a good place to escape the heat."

"The landlord is rude. You have to walk 240 steep stairs to the B&B. Via Gradoni is no street, it is simply stairs. Do not bring big luggage. Parking is not possible nearby. You have to walk up and down to get to your car were the nearest spot is 2 km away. The garden is shabby. The staff speaks only some gibberish-like English."

"BEWARE, DO NOT BOOK! I made a reservation 2 months ago for my brother’s wedding at the end of April. Confirmed and paid for the reservation in full. The property just changed the dates of my booking without my permission to December. They said that they had this same villa booked 6-7 times and couldn’t accommodate us anymore. DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY they can cancel you at anytime and you have no recourse. If I could leave zero stars I would."

Villa Bossa Amalfi

"We loved our stay at Villa Bosa. Barbara greeted us with the warmest welcome and a welcome glass of cold Prosecco and showed us to our stunning room. The room was spacious with plenty of wardrobe space a huge balcony and excellent bathroom. The view is stunning. Dino was ever present and his style and artistic flare is the heart of the accommodation. It’s modern, stylish and very relaxed. He was great at giving advice and encouraged us to hire a Vespa to get around the coast. I was extremely reluctant due to crazy traffic but we took the plunge and it turned out to be a day I will never forget. To follow the coastline with wind in your face was magical and not as scary as I thought. Breakfast also deserves a mention as it was really lovely, healthy and cooked fresh to order. The breakfast/housekeeping ladies were also delightful. Villa bosa is a walk from Amalfi and a bit hairy as the roads are narrow and busy but we walked to Atrani for a meal and the beach a couple of times too which was all very manageable. We also found a local hotel that cooked fresh food where we could eat and it was only 5 mins away. We had a wonderful stay. It was our first time in Italy as we normally travel further afield in the winter months but it won’t be our last and we will always have a special memories of our 4 nights in Villa Bosa. We will be back to see the next stage the bar in the cave !!!"

Il Giardino Dei Limoni

"We stayed for 9 days in late September. Its not a B&B, there are 7 apartments over 2 floors. We stayed in the top leftmost (when looking out to sea) which I think had the best view. It also had a roof over the balcony so we could sit and watch the rain (it does rain!) When you arrive with luggage its best to get to Amalfi and catch the half-hourly SITA 5110 bus (there is a stand with Ravello written above it) Get off at the Ravello terminus (just before the tunnel) and walk back on yourself down ‘Via Della Republica’. It is easy to miss the right turn (see photo) onto ‘Via Cassanova’ because the "streets" in these little hillside villages are sometimes no more than alleyways with stairs. After climbing down the 56 steps you will see the gate (its lit but no sign!) into Ill Giardino Dei Limoni which is then another 69 steps down. The wooden front door has no sign but ring the bell and someone will come. First lets say that yes, it is 2 star and fairly basic in terms of equipment. There is no microwave or kettle and virtually no coat hangers. There is a toaster though and enough pots to make "the pasta" There is a cupboard full of biscuits and snacks and a fridge freezer with enough : milk bread butter. preserves, juice and yoghurt , cooked meats and cheese to last your entire stay. The bed is extremely comfortable (I had a memory foam topper that I didn’t unpack) The owner was amazing , He even opened up the garden fior us to sunbathe The large separate bathroom had a bath and separate shower cubicle with overhead and standard shower heads (very strong water pressure!) and plenty of space for toiletries; makeup etc and a hairdryer. You dont need to go up to Ravello to eat. There are restaurants on Via della repubblica (Sea view pizza) and an amazing bar set back on the bend in the road (with a kind of Grotto) You can walk down to the sea (ignore other reviews) you just rejoin ‘Via Cassanova’ and go down a lot of steps until you reach ‘Via Zia Marta’ (an actual road) . Then its left with a lot more steps down towards Minori (the Marmorata hotel is at the bottom) or right to merge onto Strada Statale (on the Ravello bus Route) which meets the Amalfi Drive coast road nearer to Atrani/Amalfi. You can get the bus either way (SITA 5220) to further up/down the coast. Minori and Atrani/Amalfi are walkable. I am an overweight 62 year old and I managed quite a lot of walking down steps. We minimised the "up steps" by taking the bus to Ravello and walking down. The taxis are extortionate (see photo of rates from Ravello to other towns), so even the comparatively rich Americans generally took the buses and the ferries. If you want to catch the ferry to Positano or Capri go from Minori as it won’t be as full. You buy ferry tickets at the booth on the harbour. "Disappointing stay despite the excellent ratings Unfortunately, our experience at Mimì B&B was nowhere near what we expected based on the excellent ratings and beautiful photos. I stayed here with my 70-year-old mother, and from the beginning we encountered problems. Access to the property is extremely difficult, particularly with luggage. The most direct route involves a long and steep staircase, while the alternative route is considerably longer and still uphill. I understand that Ravello is a hillside town, but we walked extensively throughout Ravello during our trip and the specific access to this property was particularly challenging. Our biggest issue was privacy. Our sleeping area was directly behind a large glass door facing the restaurant. During dinner service, customers were seated directly outside our room. We could see people eating from our bed, and they could see us lying inside. To have any privacy, we had to keep the blackout curtains completely closed while the restaurant was operating. The outdoor areas were also disappointing compared with the impression created by the photos. We actually had to ask where some of the beautiful areas shown online were located, and only then learned that parts of those spaces were connected to the restaurant and subject to restrictions during restaurant service. The bathroom was extremely uncomfortable. The shower enclosure was tiny, the water flow was poor, and the temperature constantly changed from hot to cold. Because the shower was so small, there was practically nowhere to move when suddenly hit by cold water. There was also no key available to lock the bathroom door. We also found visible stains on our bed linen, experienced unreliable and intermittent Wi-Fi, and had several power interruptions during our final evening. However, what disappointed us most was the hospitality. Throughout the stay, we frequently felt as though basic requests were an inconvenience to the staff. Even obtaining ordinary wine glasses became unnecessarily difficult. The general attitude often felt cold and dismissive, and on several occasions we felt uncomfortable with the way we were looked at and spoken to. The final morning summed up the experience perfectly. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 10:00 a.m. and the included food was extremely limited — only one sandwich option was included, while the other options had to be paid for separately. We arrived approximately 15 minutes before breakfast ended, intending simply to take the included sandwich with us. There was no staff member attending the area when we arrived. When someone finally came to our table, it was approximately five minutes before 10:00, and instead of simply serving us while breakfast was still open, we were criticized for supposedly arriving “every day at 10.” This was not even true. We had only eaten breakfast there once before, at approximately 9:45 a.m. We decided to leave rather than continue the unpleasant interactio"

"Our 4 night stay in Ravello was to celebrate our wedding anniversary as we were married there in 2017, this sweet little B&B was perfect for us. We knew the location was excellent with regards to everything we wanted to see and do, a stones throw away (1 min) from Villa Rufolo, the main piazza, restaurants and bars. A Casa dei Nonni is such a lovely, peaceful and private place to stay. Yumi our host made us feel very welcome and was always on hand to offer help and advice on anything we needed, arranging onward transportation etc. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy with a large bathroom with bath as well as a shower (very welcoming after a day walking the stone staircases of Ravello). It had a good sized wardrobe, safe, coffee machine, fridge, tv and good working air con. We loved our private terrace where we could chill out in the evenings and had our breakfasts of pastries, meats, cheeses, bread, orange juice and coffee which Yumi tried to vary everyday for her guests, they really were scrumptious. Thank you Yumi & Barbara. If you are looking for excellent, simple accommodation in Ravello with friendly hospitality and an excellent location then look no further. Ravello is a very special place to us personally and we would choose A Casa dei Nonni should we visit again."
