"This is a beautiful historic building set in gorgeous tropical gardens. The staff are hard working and sweet. My room was very large with nice period details. The bathroom has everything necessary but is a little outdated. There is no heating in the room but a good portable heater was provided instantly upon request. The setting is lovely being near the forest, the town of Ranikhet and with views of the Himalayas. I enjoyed all my food for breakfast and evening meals, which was all created freshly on a bespoke basis. There is no bar here and so alcohol is unavailable, but I came prepared with my own supply. I benefitted from the available hotel transfer to and from the nearest airport, which is Pantnagar- 3.5 hours. away"
