"I stayed in this hotel during a heatwave in 2026. The hotel was extremely hot with my room (on the third floor) almost unbearable as it had no air-conditioning. The staff did provide a fan which was on when I checked-in but the window only opened a fraction providing virtually no fresh air. So, I wouldn't recommend staying here in the summer if you want to get a good night's sleep - I didn't. I understand from the manager that the ground floor rooms are air-conditioned as the windows do not open so perhaps these are fine to stay in during the summer as is the hotel in colder months I'm sure. Location-wise, the hotel is perfectly placed, however. I just wish Travelodge as a company would invest in making its rooms an acceptable quality all year round."

"No mention of self check-in within the booking confirmation. Self check-in details received 1.5 hours by separate email before arrival but missed by us. No one on site - phone wasn't answered; door wasn't answered. Finally received email, after emailing via website and email address, which outlined self check-in process. No amenities - no communal areas, no where on site to eat, just the room. Had to ask twice for the room to be serviced, once after a cursory attempt at servicing which didn't include cleaning the bathroom or hoovering or leaving tea/milk. The owner did not make contact with us at all unless prompted to do so (cleaning/self check in): very bad customer service. We were there for four days without seeing a single member of staff. However we did have a great view from the room."
