Ibla Rooms ★★★

📍 Vico Roccia, 2, Ragusa

"Friendly staff and great location. Very modern and clean! Located in a tiny street so need to wheel your luggage in but only a short 2min walk. Would stay again!"

Hotel Il Barocco

Hotel Il Barocco ★★★

📍 Via Santa Maria La Nova, 1, Ragusa

"I stayed at the hotel il Barocco for a week over Christmas as part of a walking/sightseeing group. It’s a small family run hotel centrally situated in a quiet side street in Ragusa Ibla. It has every facility but is more traditional than ultra modern. The management and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable although the bed was a little on the hard side for my liking but I slept well. The rooms had a small fridge and a kettle for making tea or coffee, a hairdryer and were well equipped. The shower was always hot. The WiFi was good. My ground floor single room only had a tiny balcony overlooking a quiet backstreet but some double rooms on an upper floor had a larger balcony with a view over the town. There was a pleasant lounge to relax in before dinner and a bar. The buffet breakfast was superb and tea and coffee was made to order. Local products were provided and delicious home made cakes! The hotel provided us with a traditional evening meal on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It was very good but there was just too much food with several courses! On the other evenings we ate at local restaurants only a short stroll away. There was an attractive courtyard terrace in front of the hotel that must be very pleasant during warmer months. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a cosy, friendly small hotel centrally situated in Ragusa Ibla."

Mediterraneo Palace Hotel
8.3 (71 reviews)

Mediterraneo Palace Hotel ★★★★

📍 Via Roma, 189, Ragusa

"Nice environment and spacious room. However, customers should be given detailed information about the city tax and mini bar. In some other places the mini fridge is stocked for customers convenience. Let them know the extra payments that may accrue at the beginning of the contract. Above all, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!"

La Corte di Ibla
8.8 (21 reviews)

La Corte di Ibla ★★★

📍 Via XI Febbraio 55, Ragusa

"The property is located right in the historic center. It's not accessible by car, but a 10-minute walk. The Duomo is a 5-minute walk from the property. The property is clean. There are breakfast bars nearby."

Villa Del Lauro
8.8 (24 reviews)

Villa Del Lauro ★★★★

📍 Via Ecce Homo, 11, Ragusa

"The hotel has a central location between the upper and lower towns of Ragusa. The hotel reception/porter staff (they do multiple jobs) were friendly and exceptionally helpful—especially staff member Christian, at the front desk. The hotel building has charm, with a genteel antique atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is basic—no cooked items. It was pleasantly presented in a charming dining room. The hotel has no elevator. It was 38 steps from the lobby and my room. Even more importantly, rooms are in need of repair. In my friends’ first room, the sink was unusable. In the room they were then moved to, the shower hose had holes, plural, so it sprayed water everywhere. I think this hotel has potential, even without an elevator, but under current circumstances, I cannot recommend it."

Artemisia Resort
9.4 (52 reviews)

Artemisia Resort ★★★

📍 Via Enrico Caruso, 13, Ragusa

"The Artemisia Hotel is a bit far from the Ragusa town centre, it caters for travellers with self drive transport. On the other hand, the rooms are spacious and well equipped with ample drawers and a wardrobe for storage. The hotel reception staff is friendly and helpful. It has a good size swimming pool which is a blessing in the hot summer months. Breakfast is rich with excellent choices. I highly recommend it."

Acacia Marina Hotels in Ragusa

Acacia Marina

"We have stayed in many 4* hotels across Europe, (generally travelling with Tui), and so can only make direct comparison with previous experiences. We probably paid £700 more than normal so we had high expectations. The facilities and location of the hotel were good. The reception and waiting staff were very friendly, helpful and clearly work hard. The facilities are modern and well kept. The gardens and communal areas are well maintained. We visited outside of the school holidays, so did not experience many families with children, however the only area truly for adults only is the smaller pool. On arrival you are given a pool/beach towel - if you want to change it during your stay it will cost 2 Euros each - not excessive but not what we expect. The food can only be described as mediocre - limited salads, no dressings, main courses somewhat limited in choice although on a few nights there was a chef preparing dishes to order (some fish/pasta dishes - he was clearly passionate about his food). No fresh juice at breakfast (just squash) and if you like cake you will be fine. Halfway through our stay a coach party of 40-50 adults arrived. Unfortunately, all the waiting staff's attention was diverted to attending to them at the expense of the other guests. We do not blame the waiting staff at all, but someone in management should ensure there are sufficient staff to accommodate the increased number of guests. The speciality cooking was absent on these evenings. The rooms are modern and generally clean. Our only complaint would be that the sheets were not changed at all during our seven-night stay. Conclusion - won't be going back, could do better."

Acacia Palace Hotels in Ragusa

Acacia Palace

"I don't know on what basis they gave 4 stars, carpet full of stains, broken toilet seat, the double bed is actually two joined beds, the curtains are so thin that they can't darken the room, and all this in a delax double room paid €240 a night... certainly with this price we expected much more"

Locanda Don Serafino Historical Boutique Hotel Hotels in Ragusa

Locanda Don Serafino Historical Boutique Hotel

"We spent 3 lovely days at Locanda Don Serafino. We had a very comfortable, well appointed room and very lovely breakfasts every day. The old town is so charming and rustic. The staff at Locanda were so friendly and so accommodating. Guisseppi and Georgia at the front desk could not have been nicer or more helpful. We highly recommend visiting Ragusa and Locanda Don Serafina in your travels thru Sicily. "

Villa Boscarino Hotels in Ragusa

Villa Boscarino

"This is a stylish boutique hotel. Rooms are well appointed and larger than a modern hotel and feel special. Plenty of parking in front of the hotel. Breakfast is OK, although not really anything special. But it is a long way from Ragusa Ibla (old town), and you need a car - 4k by road to the nearest car park. But don't let that put you off as you will probably be in a car anyway. The staff were all really great and gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The only thing that we weren't too keen on (in May) was that the sun disappeared from the pool area a little early, and would be the only reason we might look elsewhere if we return, but we did enjoy our stay."

Aura Club - Villa Carlotta Hotels in Ragusa

Aura Club - Villa Carlotta

"Stay away from this hotel. The listing states it is a 4 star hotel. It is barely a 3 star. we have stayed at many hotels in Italy and Europe and this must be the worst one we have ever visited. To begin with, the staff doesn't wear name tags and dresses as if they are on the street. Torn jeans and t shirts. There is NO WIFI or INTERNET. This is not an exaggeration. Unless you have a phone plan you are out of luck. THERE IS NO HOT WATER, PERIOD. Stayed 2 nights and never had any hot water. Had the engineer and others attempt to make it at least warm and all they did was shrug. The breakfast was meager with no staff monitoring whether anything needed replenishment. Things not eaten on our first day showed up on the seond day. Still not kept cool with ice or any other method of keeping things cool. On the surface, this hotel appears to be a 4 star hotel with a beautiful swimming pool and other amenities, but this is deceptive. Underneath, it is worn and needs much upgrading to be even a 3 star. How anyone could give this anything but a 1 star is beyond us unless they are travellers who aren't very discerning or are unwillig to look beneath the surface. But how could anyone ignore no hot water and no internet. our suite had a gorgeous jaccuzi, which, again, was impossible to use because NO HOT WATER. Book a stay anywhere but here. Even a motel 6 has hot water."

Eremo Della Giubiliana

"I was in the Eremo for shooting pictures for a book "hidden gems in Italy". And indeed, this is a real gem. The combination of history and luxury is tasteful without being sterile. Lovely memories of this place. And the staff, people to remember for many years."

Itria Palace ★★★★
"The room was upgraded, free parking was provided and the breakfast was very rich. Because the room is close to the front desk, it is a bit noisy, but it is quiet at night. Another thing is that I finally met a receptionist who spoke fluent English."

San Giorgio Palace Hotel Ragusa Ibla ★★★★
"The hotel has an elevator that goes directly to town. A short walk up the steps and around the corner leads to the St. George's Basilica in Ragusa Ibra. For €5, you can take a mini-train to tour the town's other churches. The hotel itself isn't large; carrying large suitcases can be tiring, as you have to climb a 20-meter ramp and walk along a long corridor. The facilities are basic. If you're only staying one night, you can't expect too much. The hotel terrace offers a view of a corner of the town."

Ibla Rooms ★★★
"Fortunately, I chose Ibla Rooms. First of all, the location is excellent, in Ibla and close to the upper town, making it convenient to visit attractions on foot. Secondly, the house is built against the mountain, with a large span from top to bottom, an elevator, and three entrances: upper, middle, and lower. Our room is on the top floor, and the balcony has floor-to-ceiling windows with great views. As you walk out of the gate, you will see ancient relics of both human and natural origin on the big rock wall. What I like more is that the small doorway contains a big world. From the outside, the house looks no different from its neighbors, but inside, the structure, color, light and shadow, luxury, etc. are perfectly combined. When leaving, the host helped us book a taxi to Caltagirone. After the delivery, the taxi driver gave us a discount."

Hotel Il Barocco ★★★
"Our stay at hotel il Barocco was amazing. Receptionist were all kind and gave us plenty tourist info. The hotel is nicely refurbished. All wood furniture nicely polished and the room very clean. The plus of this hotel is the huge and wide breakfast buffet selection. Really you can compare to a brunch. The only cons was the beds arrangements. We booked for 2 adults and 2 kids. The Queen was comfortable while the pull out sofa bed was not really fit for 2 kids aged 7 and 9 years old. Other than this all was great. I really recommend this hotel for your stay in Ibla."

"We stayed for two nights in November in junior suite and arrived by car. Parking is funny arrangement in not fit for purpose garage where older man asks you to double park… it is 10 euros a day. Room was available to us after check in time of 3pm. We had to wait another 30 min. It was strange as that night we did not see many guests. Junior suite was spacious, modern and exceptionally clean. Housekeeping was outstanding. The bathroom had jacuzzi and seperate walk in shower. Bring your own toiletries as there is only wall mounted soap. Somehow water in jacuzzi was only lukewarm so I had to top it up from the washing basin using the kettle I requested… The room on 5th floor did nit have much of the view - facing the wall but it was quiet at night. Mini bar prices were reasonable at 2 to 4 euros which was fine for the convienience. Location is not great for Ragusa Ibla old town - it is solid 40 min walk incl. many stairs up. For modern Ragusa you are in the centre, close to the stores, restaurants and duomo. We were making day trip to Scicli and Modica - driving through narrow country in the mountains can be stressful with the rental cars. Breakfast had cold scrumble eggs and basic options - nothing special. Overall I would recommend staying in this hotel for practical and safe experience in clean and modern room."

"While the hotel was charming and picturesque, the fact that there was no lift/elevator was a bit of a problem after climbing them for a couple of days. Luckily at the front desk Alberto was able to fetch our luggage and was super helpful. Our friends had problems with a leaky shower and there were no tissues in the bathroom! Breakfast was good although a bit limited. Breakfast room was very charming, back garden and pool were beautiful. If walking up stairs is not a problem, and you like the location, this hotel may be for you!"

De Stefano Palace Luxury Hotel ★★★★
"Very impressive hotel with some very large rooms. Ours had a fantastic balcony looking over the street and featured some beautiful original architectural details. The choice of furniture felt a little 2000's and slightly out of place so that felt a little disappointing. The hotel features a spa with a mini pool which is very nice and can be booked privately with a bottle of wine, a nice extra. Breakfast was standard buffet style and very average given the upscale feel of the hotel. Location wise it is on a very quiet street but is in walking distance of most things, not that there is too much going on in Ragusa, it is very pretty though. Overall it was pretty expensive but worth it for the night."
