"The service at the hotel was good. The staff was friendly. The decor was pleasant. The view was beautiful. The weather wasn't great, so we couldn't sit on the terrace much. Breakfast and dinner were of good quality. The salmon main course had few side dishes, but the quality was good. We reported it and were offered complimentary coffee."

"We stayed at the hotel from May 26 to May 29, 2022, in a Superior Comfort room. Room 207. The room was fine with an excellent bed, but the bathroom was very disappointing. Small, old-fashioned, and not very clean. There wasn't even a rack to put your toiletry bag on. You could only store your toiletries on a small shelf above the sink. The toilet was not very clean and is in need of a thorough cleaning. Brown deposits were visible in the curve of the bowl and under the water surface (I am not talking about traces of stool, but brown deposits resulting from a lack of maintenance). The breakfast room is not particularly cozy. A few tables for two and four, but mostly long rows of tables where you have to queue. The breakfast is just boring and not very varied. Boring bread. The same selection every day. A bowl of fresh fruit is probably too expensive, so just fruit from cans, though with some freshly cut pineapple mixed in. One plus point: good coffee."

"The service on the terrace was great, by a wonderful waiter ANGELO. Peaceful place. With the forest and the singing of the birds."

"Beautiful location indeed. We had a house that was difficult to warm, but otherwise okay. The food was downright chaotic because there was also a party. With many questions we finally got our food. After the stay my ereader was lost. Various telephone calls and emails, where I also indicated that I would check the bedding, were to no avail. Two months later I received the ereader from the laundry. The organization of Vanenburg Castle, no matter how beautiful, leaves much to be desired."
