"Really nice boutique hotel with simple but very tasteful furnishings. Clean comfortable. Mario the boss is always available to give tips and history of the Island. The Staff are really helpful. Breakfast buffet was amazing. The Gardens are a hidden gem, especially the dining area under the lemon trees. We stayed for 3 nights and had 2 full days to explore the Island. A few minutes walk from the hotel is the old lighthouse foundation and rocks you can swim off."

The room as such was beautiful, lovingly furnished and the sea view was fabulous. As there were only a few guests in the hotel at the time we were travelling, we even had breakfast delivered to our room. A highlight. An absolute recommendation."

"I have just returned from six nights at the Solcalante Hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful position and has lovely views from the terrace overlooking the island of Ischia. However, it is totally let down by the management team. This hotel is run by those who are very lacking in any people skills. They are non- communicative and unfriendly. They did not even give us eye contact during our whole visit. Fortunately their staff were kind and hard working. Breakfast staff and cleaners were very helpful. They kept the rooms and pool clean and tidy. Two events were held at the hotel during our stay (without any prior warning) and we were asked to leave the pool for a private function. We were restricted from the bar area or able to sit on the terrace. ( reserved notices were left on all of the chairs/loungers). These parties were large and very busy and noisy. We felt we had to go out even though we had planned a quiet evening and to have dinner at the hotel. There is only one restaurant in walking distance from hotel. ( 10mins walk). The events were on Saturday 14th ( 4pm-very late) and on the Tuesday ( 12-6). When I complained to one of the management team he was very rude and said “We had only booked a room at the hotel not a pool”. This was totally incorrect, we booked bed and breakfast with all the amenities the hotel has to offer. I am 68 years old and my husband and I have extensively travelled. We have never come across this bad attitude before. Also the hotel advertises having a sauna and massage services, there were no evidence of either. Also the solarium is a neglected empty roof space over the hotel rooms."

"Hotel Celeste is well located near Chiaiollela Harbour. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very nice and clean. I especially loved the terrace with its sea view, perfect for practicing yoga in the mornings 👍 🧘🏻♀️"

"Most unhelpful and unwelcoming hotel staff since 40 years of travelling through Italy. Every question for information was met with a flat rejection. Not one friendly word or gesture. Breakfast was tedious. It is a shame since the rooms, garden and pool are impeccable. This could be a fine hotel."

We were very well looked after by Carlo and his friendly team. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The meals were delicious prepared using local produce. Thank you! We can't wait to return!"

"Managed to book this wonderful exquisite hotel for our last two days in the area. Travelled the short distance by ferry from Naples to the beautiful Procida. Short bus trip from the harbour to the hotel was really easy and stress free. Greeted by pleasant and polite staff who showed us to our room. Wow, beautiful! Then spend the rest of our day, by the pool, in the well manicured top class secluded garden area. The pool was fabulous, with incorporated jacuzzi jets at the shallow end. Outdoor showers and toilet facilities nearby as well as a well stocked bar. We were served by really friendly staff who made us feel so special. Already love this place and cannot recommend any higher! Well done to the staff and management here, we will hope to return again and again when visiting this wonderful area."
