Holiday Inn Express POOLE by IHG ★★★
"Typical HIE hotel, within walking distance of Poole town centre and harbour. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the shower worked. Everything I expect from a HIE room. A fairly decent breakfast is included in the price of the room. Parking is an extra £8.50."
Antelope by Greene King Inns ★★★
"A lovely pub/hotel in a central location in Poole. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, sorting out an issue with my booking easily. No complaints and looking forward to staying here again"
Grovefield Manor ★★★★
Travelodge Poole North ★★★
"As frequent visitors to Poole, we often stay in a nearby caravan park as we have a dog - they wouldn’t let us book an extra night when our plans changed, so we came here. Discovering that Travelodge allow dogs was a bit of a revelation! Check in was easy, although I felt the receptionist probably didn’t like dogs that much. I think there was supposed to be a water bowl for him in the room, but it was a good job we had bought our own, as there wasn’t. Basically I feel like this is just a standard room, but you pay extra for a dog, which is fine, and although he wasn’t allowed in the restaurant, they did let us sit with him in the small seated area next to the bar so that we could have a drink. The hotel is situated on a busy road and there wasn’t really anywhere close by to walk doggo - we did go down to the roundabout and through the underpass (not a pleasant walk) to ask at the Fleetsbridge pub if we could eat there, but they unfortunately didn’t allow dogs, so we had to improvise a bit with dinner. The room was mostly clean, there was a slight lingering smell of urine in the bathroom, but overall just a standard Travelodge - quite new, I think. The road noise wasn’t too bad. I would have worried about getting in and out late at night as I believe they lock the gates - the hotel is next to several office blocks."
Travelodge Poole ★★★
"There is not enough parking at this hotel. We arrived off the cross-Channel ferry late on a Sunday evening to find the car park full. The receptionist said we could park on the adjacent Asda supermarket car park until the store opened in the morning. When we got home we received a £100 car parking charge as apparently overnight parking is NOT allowed at Asda. This turned a budget overnight stop into a significant expense. The staff need better information to direct customers to a public car park in the area. Some general customer service training wouldn't go amiss, either. None of the staff we encountered were friendly or welcoming. I have never experienced anything like it and I will definitely not stay again."
Premier Inn Poole North ★★★
"The staff here are so amazing and helpful. It’s was my daughters birthday and there was little gifts a hand written note and balloons. Such a small gesture goes a long way. My other daughter wanted me to mention the night staff as my daughter can outside with me in the early morning and she got cold and the night staff gave her a little hot chocolate packet to warm her up when she went back upstairs. The two employees that checked us in were so friendly and happy to help. And the breakfast staff was amazing. One lovely lady I didn’t catch the name off was so happy and bubbly. I can’t rate the staff here enough"

Premier Inn Poole Centre (Holes Bay) Hotel
"Good location for Poole ferry. Noisy at night from traffic as hotel is next to a busy road. The toilet was not clean which was disappointing. The staff in general and the food was good."
Anchorage
South Rising Guest House
"I have just enjoyed a few days here and can say I feel very relaxed. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and Caroline is a most welcoming host. Continental breeze is offered in the dining room. There are cafes within walking distance along with a chippy that is locally and offers vegan pies. As well as Poole there is Ashley Cross which has pubs and a number of restaurants. Some of them are upmarket and offer excellent food and drink. The guest house backs onto Poole Park which is great for walking, a large lake is home to many birds and good vies. I have a Freedom pass that works on the buses here and one day I did a trip into the historic town of Wimborne. All in all a great break."
