Travelodge Poole North ★★★
"WARNING! If you are a disabled traveller and are booking a disabled room at the North Poole Travelodge with a carer and assistance dog. Please be aware that you will be refused entry to the in house restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. There is no exclusion for assistance dogs inncluded in the Travelodge terms and conditions. However, it does state that 'assistance' dogs are exempt from pet charges. I would like to point out the Equality Act 2010, which states that, assistance dogs must be allowed into most public places, shops, restaurants, and transport in the UK. Excluding them is an illegal discrimination. Perhaps Travelodge needs to provide this information to their staff and point out that they are breaking the 'Equality Act' by refusing myself, my carer and my assistance dog into the Travelodge restaurant. We were very much inconvenienced in our plans and had to eat elsewhere. Being a wheelchair user has it's own restrictions and planning any excursions requires extensive planning in regards to accessibility etc. I do give 3 stars overall based on our previous excperiences we have had and that the actual accommodation for the disabled traveller using any of the Travelodge Hotels is usually a very good standard."
Premier Inn Poole North ★★★
"Looking for a place to spend the night while visiting a friend. Room space is up to standard and the hygiene is at par. One hiccup is during check-in, the hotel system indicated that I need to settle payment upon arrival, but in fact I have already paid up in advance. The front desk (sorry I have not asked his name) was helpful enough to sort out the problem and settled it in 5 minutes time."
Sandbanks Hotel ★★★★
"Had a great stay kids loved being right on the beach"
Antelope by Greene King Inns ★★★
"A lovely pub/hotel in a central location in Poole. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, sorting out an issue with my booking easily. No complaints and looking forward to staying here again"
Travelodge Poole ★★★
"We stayed at Travelodge Poole for two nights, and unfortunately the cleanliness of the room was far below an acceptable standard. The kettle was absolutely filthy and covered with dirt and heavy limescale. The bathroom was also very dirty, including the toilet, sink and bathtub, and there was a large amount of hair in the drains. There was visible dust around the room, and the shower curtain smelled extremely unpleasant. My wife had to ask the housekeeper for a replacement shower curtain and then change it herself. She left the dirty curtain on the bathroom floor with the used towels, but the housekeeper did not remove it, later explaining that she had not thought to do so. The room was extremely hot because there was no air conditioning, although we were aware of this before booking. A small desk fan was provided, but it was almost black with dust and was not powerful enough to make any difference. The pillows were extremely hard and felt like stones. I experienced neck pain during the stay and continued to feel it afterwards. The mattresses, however, were reasonably comfortable. There was also considerable noise outside because work was being carried out on the pavement, although I understand that this was not the hotel’s fault. Overall, the main issue was the extremely poor standard of cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom. The room should have been properly inspected and thoroughly cleaned before being given to guests."

South Rising Guest House
"Not knowing what to expect, I was really pleased with our choice of accommodations. It's clean and comfortable, with a welcoming atmosphere. Its most outstanding feature is Caroline, our warm and hospitable host. She couldn't do enough for us. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and answered our many questions about Poole and Dorset. We were there only 2 nights, but would have loved to have had the time to stay longer."
