"We stayed here in July 2025 and it was exactly what we were looking for! A beautiful traditional-style hotel with great taste and attention to detail. The view from our room—overlooking the mountains and forest—was stunning. It’s right next to the starting point of the Tiger’s Nest trail, with a green area and easy access to the forest, which was perfect for us as we wanted to enjoy the outdoors with our baby. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Honestly, it ticked all the boxes. Special mention to the set menus—we tried the traditional Bhutanese set and absolutely loved it. A must-try if you're after a fine dining experience with local flavours!"

"Incredibly photogenic 5-star hotel located just 20 mins from Paro Airport. Booked a junior suite for 2 nights at the end of my 10-day Bhutan trip and enjoyed every minute of it, including all the modern luxury amenities in my room alone which included an authentic Bhutanese ground coffee complete with French press! Every detail exudes class... down to the toiletries and in-room cutlery. The architecture is simply gorgeous and the main hotel building which houses the reception lobby and restaurants also has numerous comfortable seating areas overlooking the Paro valley... great for relaxing, sitting quietly or reading a book. There's also a small Buddhist temple at the top which you can visit and take pictures of - a good preview of what's to come from you Bhutan trip if this was your first stop. Food was generally very good, offering a good mix of Western dishes and an authentic Bhutanese platter... again, a good introduction if this is your first stop in Bhutan. But as I was already on my last leg of the trip I opted for the Western options including the beef burger (very good) and twice-cooked pork belly (a bit tough). Like what I had experienced for most of my trip, locals seem to still need to get the hang of cooking meat, something perhaps not widespread given the Buddhist culture. :) Otherwise, the food, including their homemade ice cream was excellent. Staff was incredibly attentive, hospitable and responsive, as one has come to expect from the very gracious Bhutanese people. If I had one feedback is that there was NO BIDET in my room which was really strange given that even the smallest 3-star guesthouse I stayed in over the course of my holiday had one. I mentioned this to one of the staff who explained that they were slowly upgrading all the rooms to have a toilet bidet, so I guess I was just unlucky I got one of the older rooms (which was still gorgeous nonetheless)! So don't forget to request for one if this is something you're expecting. Overall, a great way to pamper yourself after all the physically taxing hiking and driving through Bhutan. You can easily spend a day simply soaking up the beauty of the hotel (which I did!) and enjoying all the other FREE activities (which I didn't do as had already seen/done them all earlier in the week!)."

"The location is absolutely heavenly. We stayed in a luxury room with tiger's nest view. Every morning to wake up to the spectacular view was a delight. Taj Paro property is unique and wonderful. The restaurant serves the best and delicious of all cuisines. The service of the hotel staff was exceptional. Special mention to Mr.Chandra, our butler who made all the difference through his politeness and truly impeccable service. His constant thoughtful care of our needs, made it such a memorable experience for us and it makes us wanting to back for a longer stay. He ensured that every minute we spent was special and worthwhile, curating the Bhutanese menu,organising for the traditional attire, arranging for an exclusive anniverssary decor and cake, and extending his helping hand even if it meant going out of the way. In short, from the time we stepped into the property till our departure, we were well taken care of by each of the staff members and the Managers. This is one of the best memories we would cherish not only because of the property but also due to Mr.Chandra. Sajan, the bartender is another person worth mentioning here."

If you are on the topmost floor and in 209 (or maybe other rooms) then you will need headphones with static on loop to cancel out the pressure pump noise. It will drive you crazy. "

"Absolutely stunning location, beautiful lodge with a recently refurbished shower room which was huge. We absolutely loved it in our lodge. So peaceful, we were sad to leave. Evening buffet was good, specially prepared for the few tourists that were there. Breakfast ok, but it would have been lovely to have had more fresh fruit and curd available, we did ask and got some. Excellent Masala tea."

"The service at this hotel is excellent. The staff welcomed us immediately, gave us welcome tea, and showed us to our room. Our room was clean, had excellent amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and our host Suk Bahadur was very kind and thoughtful. The perfect stop for our final night in Bhutan."
