Had such a great stay at the garage, super scenic spot. The room was just perfect and it was quite a treat to arrive to fresh baked banana bread and chocolate cake the day we arrived. The owner was very accommodating and there to answer any questions. My boys, ages 11 and 13 were able to explore the property up to the waterfall behind the home which was an extra special treat. Especially when her dogs followed us along the trail I think that made their day. We even got to take advantage of the hot tub after our day of hiking. Looking back I would have booked 2 nights here as we really loved it and could have easily stayed 2 days and done some of our tours venturing out from there. .

The room environment was comfortable and clean, with a kitchen for cooking. Check-in was convenient, and I most enjoyed the scenery in the surrounding area, which felt like a world unto itself. It allowed us to spend an unforgettable day in Iceland.

Not too recommended, 6 rooms are tightly connected with a 2x3 layout, the sound + vibration are very obvious, will be affected by others, no sound insulation. The mattress is insufficiently supported, the hip and waist will sink, and my weight will be 80-85kg. In summary, the quality of sleep is not very good. Other aspects are not bad.

We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! The room was clean, the service was good, the breakfast was good, the good choice for a day off, I accidentally broke a glass and didn’t let me compensate. I forgot the power bank and called the hotel to ask and quickly helped find it.

The view is excellent, at the foot of a mountain, it should be a cabin to see the aurora, but unfortunately we did not see the aurora in summer. The location is not far from Scoga Falls, Seriyaran Falls and Vic Black Beach, these three attractions can choose from here. The house facilities are very new, the heating is turned on in advance, the Icelanders really don't know how to advertise, and the good house is like a rough house. The housekeeper's English is not good, but the communication is still clear. Other comments are helpful, you can call the password until they answer the phone, if you can't, you can also take a chance on the spot, and you will see the women who clean up the house working nearby.

We had a fantastic stay at North Star Cottages. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We arrived to a warm, snug cabin after a day of walking in the rain, and it had everything we needed for a short one night stay. We were a family of four and we brought food to prepare. The kitchen had everything to cook, eat, and wash up. Beds were comfy and the shower was hot. Really great place.

A very unique hotel with a great retro vibe. The self-service breakfast was quite tasty. The hot tub outside offers a beautiful view. However, be aware that the check-in process isn't straightforward.

The hotel is located not far from the main road and is easy to find, the surrounding area is dark enough at night to see the stars. We never saw staff in our 2 night stay but check in was easy as there was a phone available to call the staff. The room is clean but very small, after opening up our luggage there was nowhere to stand. The room can really use a few more hooks on the wall for hanging up coats and outer gear. The bathroom is clean but a bit dim and the water from the shower runs into the rest of the bathroom. There is very little space to put toiletries. There is a pantry upstairs with hot water, tea and hot chocolate. There is also a dining and living area with a pool table, which is nice. During our stay there was a crazy storm and the whole house was shaking from the wind, which was a bit scary. The windows in the room were not air tight so the wind was howling through the gaps. It was a bit loud and cold.
