Perfect
I found this guesthouse online. It's located by a lake in the middle of the sea, in a beautiful environment. The house was newly renovated and looked very comfortable. The rooms were large, clean, and tidy, and the dining environment was also nice. We had some bamboo-themed dishes, and the owner was very welcoming and explained them to us. Highly recommended.

Their hospitality was truly exceptional—they were always ready to help with anything I needed, whether it was providing local recommendations or ensuring my stay was as seamless as possible. The residence itself is charming and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated, with all the amenities I could ask for. The location is also fantastic, with easy access to nearby attractions and dining options. What truly stood out, though, was the genuine care and attention from the owners. They made me feel like a valued guest, and their positive energy added so much to my stay. A friend visited Shunan Bamboo Sea and highly recommended this hotel. This time I experienced it personally. Service: The store is warm and sincere, and they also provide pick-up and drop-off, which is comparable to the service of a five-star hotel. Environment: The guest rooms are clean and tidy, the mattresses and pillows are moderately soft and hard, the environment is quiet, and you can see the stars in the sky at night. Catering: There are various choices of dishes, including spicy and non-spicy, and the prices are favorable. Especially their shredded chicken with fresh shredded bamboo shoots, which is tender and refreshing. Their homemade dried bamboo shoots are bright and crispy, without any added natural food. I took some back to give to my friends.

Room: small but clean. Ok for a short stay. Breakfast: Chinese type, noodles, no coffee or anything else Location: The hotel is located just around 15 min walk from the park entrance gate. Based on a park map, there should be a park tourist bus, unfortunately there is no bus schedule available and hotel personnel also is not aware and highly recommend to rent a private car.

The hotel is located inside the attraction area which we have to buy the entrance ticket to get to enter. The lady owner will drive out to pick us up to her hotel and she helps to buy discounted cable car ticket to view the sea of bamboo. Moreover, the bamboo feast set lunch (RMB588) provided at the hotel is quite good but a bit expensive. Some of the rooms we booked have toilets with squatting and therefore, please call the hotel to ensure the sitting toilet instead of squatting one. She is willing to change one of the rooms for us to sitting toilet.

The hotel is well located right in the middle of the Bamboo forest. The family that owns it is a great team. As a solo foreigner without a car it's difficult to understand how to explore the scenic area. The son was really informative, very patient and helpful and recommended itineraries for each day. He also explained transport to arrive at the hotel and at my next destination. The mother cooks tasty food with bamboo specialties. The father offers a transport service to take you to the different scenic area points and that was also very helpful. I recommend staying 2 days to appreciate the whole scenic area, and I recommend staying in this hotel. Thank you for helping me during my stay!

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts, who did their best to help us despite the language barrier. We had to change rooms because the heating wasn’t working, which turned out to be a good thing in the end since the smaller rooms were easier to keep warm. Our biggest highlight was definitely the heated bed! It was our first time seeing a mattress that actually warms up — we loved it! As for the location, it was perfect: right next to the park entrance, so we could walk there without paying the 20-yuan DiDi drop-off fee. It was also ideally located near the park shuttle buses, just at the entrance.
