Somnus Suites

"This hotel is a real gem in Parga. We visited Parga this year (June 2025) We have visited many Greek islands over the years. Parga is a lovely place and has a very relaxed atmosphere. I will start with the hotel… Somnus Suites is high spec. The room was amazing/clean. The luxury of your own pool on the outside balcony was something that really made our holiday. I am very honest and I will say I was very sceptical about the breakfast being delivered to the room. I am a picky eater and normally like to get my own food from a breakfast buffet. How wrong was I though. I absolutely loved the breakfast brought to the room at Somnus Suites. The breakfast quality was very good and what a lovely experience watching the world go by in the peaceful setting on your balcony with no rush to eat or long wait for a toaster like in many other places we have stayed. The breakfast experience really spoilt us and I now don’t want to return to a buffet style breakfast. Don’t get me wrong we have had many lovely buffet breakfasts in the past but the peace, quiet and calm of sitting on your balcony watching the sea rolling in and out is just so relaxing. It has really positively spoilt us. The staff bringing the breakfast to the room were polite, courteous and very respectful. Although all staff at the hotel were like this. The reception staff were all of the above and even had our pool towels ready to bring us on arrival to the pool. We are pool people which I know most people maybe aren’t but the pool at the hotel was quiet and relaxing. We always got a pool sun bed. The beach however is only down the road if you love the beach. The beach was clean and we walked along the beach in an evening which was nice. The room we stayed in was modern, clean and looked after. The layout of the room was great. Every morning I woke up and opened the curtains to an amazing view over the hillsides. We would then step out onto the balcony and have amazing views of the sea/beach. The location of the hotel is great. A short walk down the hill to valtos beach. In the middle of the beach is a pathway to the sea which leads to the water taxi jetty. The water taxis run frequently. If you don’t like the idea of the water taxi it took us approx 20 minutes to walk into Parga town but we strolled and didn’t rush the walk. There are many restaurants in Parga town. All varieties of food. Service is spot on in every restaurant we visited. Every evening we visited Parga town and there was always something new to see. There is a buzzing yet relaxing atmosphere. You may have to visit to understand what I mean. I highly recommend the Somnus Suites. We loved it so much we have already booked to return there next year! Beautiful clean hotel in a brilliant location. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely holiday! See you next year!"

Valtos Beach Hotel

"Location is not too far from Parga town 20 minutes walk over the steep hill, by the castle. Hotel was is clean and kept tidy. The towels in the room are only changed every other day which is not always good...our bath mat that was stained was changed after the sixth day. The pool is okay,however very small for the amount of people in the hotel, plus people from outside the hotel come in and use the pool. The sunbeds are super comfortable however unfair that people reserve for hours and hours with towels and leave unoccupied...selfish people! One day 2 sunbeds had towels on most of the day with noone using them. The staff should remove towels off unoccupied bed after a certain time. The location is right ext to the beach however we did not use as there is a 15/20 euro charge for all visitors including paying residents at the hotel....shocking! The sunbeds are also so closing packed together, not much of a relaxing atmosphere. Overall Parga is a lovely place to visit, lovely food in the restaurants. The buffet breakfast at the valtos beach hotel was plentiful however chaotic at times, too many people crammed into one space. Also the management standing watch at the front all the breakfast time was overwhelming. We enjoyed Parga , we may return at some point in the future as we love Greece,however we wouldn't be in a hurry to return to Valtos beach hotel as this hotel was far more busier than we are used too"

"Quiet location and at the same time very close to the center! One of the cleanest accommodations I've ever visited! Very nice and rich breakfast! The employees are very friendly and the scenery is idyllic! I look back with nostalgia on the 4 days I stayed there! Very good value for money!"

Enjoy Lichnos Bay Village, Camping, Hotel and Apartments

"Many five stars advices from people who only made one advice on tripadvisor, and lower advices coming from people who are really on tripadvisor : that's a bit strange ... Nevermind I suppose people who go there just for relaxing on the beach during 7 or 14 days in a very touristic camping are happy, but I think it is not the right place for people who travel in Greece : the price is high - compare it to Météores or Mycènes ! - and in summer there are tents everywhere, near by near (with noise). Good people at the reception, and good mnimarket. Nice beach and trees, but overcrowded. Keep in mind Parga is very very touristic in summer. From the camping you will have to walk 30 min to get in Parga, and if you have a car ... it's very difficult to park ! In my opinion, if you want to stay one night in Parga just choose a room in the town and ask for parking if you have car ... but there are so many others nice places in Greece with campings or taverna that are not overpriced you should go !"

"Great find in a the lovely village of Anthousa. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Lovely view over Valtos Bay. Had a studio apartment which was a good size. Nice pool area with access to the waterfall. The beach is within walking distance. Didn’t have transport so relied on taxis to Parga town or the water taxi from Valtos beach. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend. The village has a number of restaurants and places for coffee, a bakery, a supermarket and a pharmacy. On the route to Ali Pasha castle. The water taxi to Parga town is every half hour between 1000 and 2300."

"As soon as we arrived Chris (the owner and hands on Manager) was there to greet us with a glass of bubbly.. We knew from then we were in for a treat We had the stars bedroom which was perfect Great view..jakuzzi on balcony etc Had breakfast served on our balcony by our wonderful waiter… In walking distance to the centre of town Would definitely go again I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel !!!"

"These studios are in a perfect location on the quiet end of Parga front but just a few minutes walk to the busy end. The views are amazing and you are straight onto the beach from them. They are spotlessly clean and have everything you need in a holiday studio. The owners are friendly and helpful and the cafe/bar underneath is lovely for breakfast/lunch/drinks. Would defiantly recommend a stay here if you like to be next to the beach and you like things clean. "
