"If you pass Pakbeng on your Mekong river tour this is a lovely hotel for both singles and couple. My recommendation is that you stay at least two nights, so you can both see and feel the atmosphere of Pakbeng. The rooms are superb and very well kept for a hotel that is 8 years. The staff is even more superb. Very very friendly and whenever you need something they help you immediately. The pool area is great with a beautiful view over the river. For us ( we stayed 4 nights) the menu can be a little more creative. Mostly standard Thai/Laos style. Don’t miss this fancy hotel in small Pakbeng and try to stay 2 nights"

"We were on the Nagi of Mekong 2-day cruise toward Luang Prabang and booked Sanctuary for one night along the way. We were driven the short but bumpy ride from boat to hotel and given a room overlooking the river. The room is posh but somewhat impractical...anyway is was quite pleasant and I wish we'd had more time there. They served us a simple breakfast and drove us to our boat in the morning. We were glad to be near town so we could walk down and have dinner."
