"Did 2 week tour of Namibia and this was by far the BEST hotel. I never do reviews on the basis that if its good keep it to yourself so that the place does not become so popular that its full the next time you want to stay .As this was my last of 3 visits to Namibia I will not be returning due to advanced old age and I am happy to make an exception. "This was our third stay at Mount Etjo and just as good as the previous visits. We return for a number of reasons, primarily because the game drives are superb and never disappoint. This time we went on an evening drive and a morning one, both with Job. He was excellent, entertaining, informative and persistent in tracking down the lions, which we really appreciated. I took more than 600 photos on the two drives! The food is excellent and I love the afternoon tea and cakes with the cheeky blue starlings. On previous visits we have had a family room, but with older children we opted for separate twin rooms. The rooms are clean and were perfectly adequate for our two night stay. They could do with updating (my daughter's shower wasn't great), but this is a minor issue. The grounds are lovely and we spent hours sitting and watching the hippos, including a baby hippo, and heaps of wildlife, including elephants and giraffes, at the water hole by the lodge. Absolutely amazing! The staff are always helpful, friendly and strive to make your stay as good as it can be. Compared with four years ago and our last visit, Namibia has become extremely expensive overall, including accommodation, but we knew we would have a great time at Mount Etjo and it didn't disappoint."

"Cosyly furnished, clean and spacious room with large bathroom. Great is the proximity to a first-class restaurant with a large beer garden and beautiful terrace. The restaurant is also frequented by locals and is really recommendable. There are not only pizza, burgers and steaks, also wild foods. Breakfast buffet is varied and delicious. "

"I stay in this exceptionnel lodge with my daughters in august 2023 for one night ... and I will come back as soon as possible. You have to drive 25 km before arriving at he lodge, build on the hill: with a 360° view on the wild! I recommand the feeding of lion's and other "big cats" ... impressive! The staff is there, smiling and so pretty! The owner of the lodge will guide you for discovering the place ... to do! Thank you very much!"

"We stayed in one of the chalets, with a beautiful full window view of the Waterberg. The central lappa area is very inviting and the staff really helpful and kind. We walked/scrambled up the hill on the path which also gave really good views of the whole Waterberg area, and my partner went horse riding,- amongst the cattle and along dry river beds. Harry Schneider also takes an active interest in his customers which I thought sums up the farm. "
