The breakfast ingredients are good, but the variety is similar to that of ordinary hotels in Europe The most important thing is that it is next to the train station, which is very convenient for going out and changing trains. "Friendly welcome at the hotel, a nice room - the stay seemed to be very pleasant. But then: TV reception of all (!) German-language channels was impossible. I was told to come back the next day. When I pointed out that I had only booked one night, I was told that the repair (?) would not be so easy. That was it. - I'm used to service differently! What a pity! "Otherwise" the hotel makes a good impression. The excellent breakfast the next morning at least made up for it a little."

"Many thanks to the team at the Hotel Astoria for their outstanding hospitality. We were passing through and needed a spontaneous overnight stay. But the Hotel Astoria is more than just that. We had dinner in the hotel's own restaurant, "bamboo," that evening. The service was top-notch, yet very friendly and humorous. The food was also excellent! I highly recommend the "Brasserie" entrecôte! To round off the evening and recover from the long drive, we went to the rooftop bar "Sisième" for a nightcap. The bar menu is extensive, and you're literally spoiled for choice. The service is very friendly and fits the bar perfectly. Compliments! The overnight stay itself was very pleasant and relaxing. The beds are soft and the pillows fluffy. The room is equipped with everything you need for a short stay. We would be happy to come back and highly recommend the hotel! Best regards, K. Meier"

"Restaurant review (& Claudio = top staff ＞ please keep & honor!) We've been meeting with friends (from all over German-speaking Switzerland) in the center of Olten/Aarau for several years now and have "tried out" various bars/restaurants! The Astoria was and is one of the best! The value for money is right, and the service is excellent! Especially Claudio!! He's a top-notch server and the main reason (besides the good food) why I'm even writing a review! He's very attentive (even when it's busy) and seems extremely motivated and customer-oriented... great service, not something you take for granted these days! We'll be back because of Claudio and the good food! (Great selection of salads, pasta, tartar, wine, etc.)"
