Parador de Olite

"We had a wonderful experience during our one night stay, which also was the parador's last day for the season. (They mentioned that they will be closing for renovations for the next 1-2 years.) The castle is completely charming and our room did not disappoint either. It was spacious, clean, and decorated in a style which I would describe as old Spanish charm and warmth. Our room included a lovely view as well. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We had our dinner at the restaurant, which I would recommend also. Our server was helpful and accommodating considering my poor Spanish language skills. I practiced enough ahead of time to be able to ask for her help in suggesting dinner, which she did."

Hotel Merindad de Olite

"Great location & follows the line of the city walls. Our room was of a good size and faced the street at the front. Those at the back have views towards the mountains. There's a roof top terrace which was nice to sit out on and look at the views plus the amazing selection of local birds. The breakfast was we thought very good. Easy parking quite close by. Note that there is no lift & the rooms are on the second floor. Oh, & the aircon is really powerful. We needed it as it was over 40 when we visited."
