"Simply terrible. While the rooms are relatively clean, the mattresses are incredibly uncomfortable and the rooms are so thinly soundproof that I couldn't sleep a wink. Not only the parking lot and the street across the street, but also all the other noises from the other rooms are incredibly loud. A couple next door were having a great time that night, which I was able to hear practically "live." I had an important meeting the next day, which didn't go well due to the sleepless night. The reception, which isn't on-site at night, wasn't interested either."

"A hotel that is a little demodate to the first contact, but a great surprise. The reception is aware, careful. Arrived early, a cappuccino offers time to prepare the room. The room is nickel, just as the bathroom. A special effort on lights and their control, electrical components, a beautiful TV: real investment. I ended with a varied and copied breakfast, with, the more, the preventive service, all for €11. The hotel is a very good hotel, and it is a good hotel."

"Facilities: The toilet seat is yellow under the lid, why haven't you changed it yet? There are stains on the toilet, it should be not cleaned well enough. Service: The receptionist's attitude is good. The cleaning staff should ask the customer whether they want to clean now or later, instead of asking whether they want to clean or not. Environment: Close to the train station, you can walk to the hotel in 10 minutes with your suitcase"

"The rooms are quite new and modern. Lots of exposed concrete, especially on the ceilings, creating a cool, modern design. This hotel would be a good choice for a stay in Oldenburg. What's completely unacceptable, however, is the constant use of informal address by the staff (who aren't even 30 years old) with guests (in my case, over 60). This is inappropriate and disrespectful. Even in English-speaking countries, this doesn't happen. You can also observe a lot of private conversations among the staff, even though there's plenty to be done at the tables. Overall, there seems to be too much sloppiness among the service team."

"The breakfast was delicious, and the quality wasn't bad; in fact, it was quite good! I booked a room with two separate single beds, and perhaps because of that, I was assigned an old-fashioned room. Since it had carpeted floors, the room smelled generally musty and damp, along with the strong scent of an old wooden wardrobe. There was no air conditioning either. Around checkout, I briefly saw another room being cleaned, and the room with a single double bed was set up in a modern style. However, it was great that there were plenty of parking spaces. I didn't have time to visit the swimming pool facilities. There is no sauna."

"I stayed two days and liked it, so I extended my stay and changed rooms. It turned out to be a nightmare. Facilities: Upon entering the room, I discovered the bathroom light was broken. I notified the front desk, but it still hadn't been fixed until after I checked out. Such inefficiency! Service: The day before check-out, I put some personal belongings, such as clothes, pants, and medication, into two plastic bags. The bags happened to be on top of a trash can, and the cleaning lady probably mistook them for trash and threw them away. But think about it, why would someone treat plastic bags as trash if they contained personal belongings? I reported it to the front desk staff, but they didn't seem to care. I told them I'd give them a bad review if they didn't address it, but they didn't care. This was a very poor service attitude. Environment: Because the hotel is in the city center, it can be quite noisy at night."

"This is an exception hotel and, at the time of reviewing, deserved to be traveller ranked number one! Although our stay was just for one night - wished it could have been longer - everything was spot on, and a few pleasant surprises too! Staff at reception were very welcoming and check-in took a matter of seconds (as did check-out). Our room featured a spacious sitting room (nice surprise), with sofas and TV, and a separate bedroom, also with TV. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided and the mini-bar contained free drinks, including beer. Unlimited free drinks (very nice surprise), including beer, were also available in two self-service, communal rooms situated on floors 2 & 3 (I recall). Free tea and coffee also provided at reception. Breakfast was an enjoyable experience, with everything that one would expect with a quality buffet-style presentation - hot and cold food, plenty of choice etc. The hotel itself is very close to Oldenburg railway station and dedicated, off-road parking spaces are located directly outside the hotel. The walk to the city centre took about 10 minutes. All-in-all and very enjoyable stay and, as such, the Hermes comes highly recommended!"

"This hotel is located in Oldenburg, a Samsung value hotel. Although it is a little distance from the city center, it is close to the highway exit. It is very convenient to travel by car. The hotel also provides free parking. The rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with a minibar, tea and coffee facilities, although not luxurious but practical, and comfortable to live in. The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool and sauna, so you can relax while you are busy. Heidekate restaurant takes the local flavor route, dinner is very special, there is a fireplace bar and summer beer garden, the atmosphere is pleasant. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, from check-in to check-out service was very thoughtful, and problems could be solved in time. The breakfast is rich in variety and the evaluation has been very good. Overall, this is a very cost-effective hotel, quiet and clean, intimate service, suitable for business travel or short-distance vacation, it is recommended!"

"This hotel is located in the outskirts of Oldenburg. We booked it as we visited friends nearby. The hotel is located next to a highway but has sound-proof windows and air purifier in the rooms. Still, we slept with open windows and the noise level at night was not annoying. The rooms are well appointed and equipped, are very clean and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms offer all necessary amenities. Breakfast buffet is rich. The hotel has a bar. Personnel were very friendly, attentive and catered to our needs. The hotel has recently been renovated."

"Location: on a default road of Oldenburg. So good connection to the motorway, but shops are searched here forgivenly. Due to the location, road traffic is obviously hearable. Parking is easy. Restaurant: clean, ordenly. For my taste a little too little dishes on the map. Unfortunately the kitchen already closes at 20:30 (as the servant), which is completely inappropriate for late trips. Breakfast was overviewable, but ok. Unfortunately there were only breads and no other bakery (e.g. toast, whole-grain bread). Hotel: no lift and something bright. Unfortunately I had a very small, bedroom that worked even closer by dark furniture. Because of the outer temperatures, the room was very stiff because there was no sufficient ventilation. Opening windows is at least not an option at night, since one pulls the air directly on his head / neck. Furthermore, there was neither a separate seating or a luggage depot. In the bathroom, I missed a towel holder as well as a hanging possibility for the cultural bag. Personal: very nice, sometimes very hearty. There is nothing to challenge here."
