Villa Chingo
"This villa has a spectacular view from your bedroom! Your balcony is right in front of your bed with the most awesome view of Lake Ohrid and the mountainside behind you. Very spacious room, comfortable bed and pillows, nice size refrigerator in the room with you. There is a kitchen that you can utilize to cook with. Stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans. There is also salt and spices that you can use too. The cons is the location. Especially if you do not rent a car. Unless you have service on your cell phone where you can call a taxi you will have to rely on the host to call the Taxi for you to get into town. It is a 15 minute drive into town. The taxi ride cost seven dollars each way. There is no rideshare app that you can use in that area. Once you’re in town, it is easy to pick up a taxi from there. You can walk up to anyone along the street and ask them for a ride back to the Villa. "
Villa Pupin Saraiste
"Wow....What was this? One of the most finest places where i have been accommodated. And believe i travel a lot according my nomad style. Everything's here is like fairytale. Extra accommodation extra rooms and apartments, high level beds, cleanness in the most high recemented level. You are at the heart of this oldest city in Europe ,and in the center of everything's what you must to see here. Just 5 min walking from everything's. At least. The Host. Vlatko is a modern ,inelegant ,more than helpful person which you have ever meet at the hospitalities. He was always one step before us ,and never let us leave alone. Tanks to him, you will never get filling that you ar so away from home. 5 stars for property. 10 stars for THE HOST-the face of this Villa. Thank you sooooo sooooo much, and defiantly we will meet very soon. Keep on track. J&J "
Villa Old Town
"I received a message the day before check-in with the entrance code and room number, so I was able to get in immediately upon arrival. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Old Town, which is great for sightseeing. It's a bit of a hike up a hill, which can be tough with luggage, but the views are beautiful because of it. The sheets and bath towels were clean, and the floor and bathroom were generally well-cleaned. However, the window panes were dirty, and the window frames were grimy with several dead small insects (I couldn't stand it, so I did a quick clean of the window frames myself). The lake view truly is amazing, though. There's also a small balcony, but it was covered in cobwebs. Amenities were plentiful, with a fridge, kettle, and tea bags provided. Unfortunately, the inside of the fridge was dirty with some kind of liquid and mold, so I didn't use it. The kettle had old water in it, so I washed it before using it. The bathroom fan (which turns on with the light switch) was quite loud, so even though I wanted to ventilate, I turned it off because of the noise. The room key was loose and wobbly, making it difficult to handle. There was only a trash can in the toilet, which was inconvenient. If you're not bothered by small details, I think this could be a comfortable place to stay."
Bogdanoski Studios & Guest Rooms
"The owner is very friendly and the king bed is soft and comfy as well."
Villa Maki
"We were vey comfortable in the room and the location is fabulous! The owners were lovely and very easy going. The building itself is a bit dated and you can see where renos would help the appeal, but none of it impacted our enjoyment of our stay."
Hotel Granit
"The location is 1st Class, the staff are helpful, the food is good but beware of the lifts. We had all inclusive, there was enough menu variety for the week but I wouldn’t recommend for vegetarians. The free bar was okay for endless lager, wine and brandy but pretty limited apart from that. The pool areas large enough to cope with the people that put towels on beds early morning ready for their afternoon siestas. The short walk to the lake makes up for all shortcomings."
Villa Varosh
"Great location and charming atmosphere! The spot is very close to the sightseeing points and convenient. The overall vibe and setting of the hotel were delightful. Highly recommended."
Apartments LAVO
Apartments FANTASY with Free Parking
"Very good location, close to the old town. A lovely balcony with nice views. The flat was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Very good value as well."

Vila Europa
"We are a Norwegian well travelled couple in our mid-50s who stayed at Vila Europa for a week, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful holiday for us. Despite the road running right past it, the location is remarkably peaceful. It’s a small boutique hotel with just 12 rooms, and the service is fantastic. Housekeeping came every day. The hotel’s private beach is just across the road, equipped with high-quality sun loungers and parasols. This little beach offers the same sense of calm and relaxation as the hotel itself, with a subtle touch of understated exclusivity. The food is outstanding too, and the restaurant service matches it. Its popularity and quality are evident from the fact that it’s well attended by guests staying elsewhere, not just hotel guests. If you’d like to visit the town of Ohrid, it’s easily reached by local minibus, which runs every half hour and takes just 15 minutes. We had an incredible week here and were wonderfully looked after, in beautiful, tranquil surroundings. For the record, we have no connection to the owners or staff, and we are not being paid or compensated in any way for this review — these are simply our honest impressions as guests. In short: Vila Europa is a little paradise by Ohrid, and we recommend it as warmly as possible."

Hotel Lebed
"I’m sorry but this is definitely not a 4 star hotel. We asked for our rooms to be changed because the mattress smelled awful and I mean AWFUL!! As soon as I sat on the bed, there was a terrible smell which was all over the pillow and sheets then I located where it came from which was the mattress. It was nasty! They asked housekeeping to come and change the bedsheets but there was no way I was going to sleep on that bed. We changed rooms but still had to change the covers because they were super smelly. The whole room had an odor plus it was clearly a room where someone had smoked in it before. We sprayed everything with our perfumes. We woke up the next morning stinking of cigarette smoke. Yuck! Very outdated! From the furniture to the elevator that takes 60 seconds to go from the reception floor to the 2nd floor. Also, I don’t quite understand the artwork in the room, it's rather creepy. This is a wall in the bathroom (see photo). Do you see the black squiggly lines?? That’s someone’s hair!!! Bloody disgusting. After we showed them the photo of the hair and requested a clean room, we went for a 3 hour walk only to return back to the same room UNTOUCHED! The hair was still on the shower wall. We couldn’t believe it!! We went straight down to reception and asked him to come to the room. He said that he came before but didn’t see it. When we pointed it out to him he said “but it’s only here”. Yes, the disgusting pile of hair from a previous guest is stuck to the wall HERE, where the new guests are going to be staying. He couldn’t care. Also the staff were all smoking in the lobby. I walked down to the lobby twice after changing my room and they never once asked me if everything was okay. The lamps in the bedroom were like strobe lights, completely old and broken. It really set a bad experience for our trip to North Macedonia because we were so uncomfortable and were dreading to head back to the hotel in the night. If I could, I’d give this place a 0/5. Cleanliness is the most important requirement when it comes to accommodation. Sorry to say that we couldn’t find 1 good thing to write about the hotel. I had to place towels down on the bed to lie on them because it felt so gross. Avoid!! Avoid!! Avoid!!"
Millenium Palace
"In July 2025, my family and I stayed at Hotel Ohrid, located on the shores of Lake Ohrid. Rooms facing the front have lake views, but those at the back overlook a side road and the backyard, which isn't very appealing. Ohrid city center is a 15-20 minute walk away. The rooms are very small and cramped; the hotel and its architecture need renovation. The restaurant is large and nice. You can enjoy a coffee and watch the surroundings in the restaurant on the ground floor. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the prices are reasonable. It's acceptable in terms of price-performance ratio…"
