"The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the center. The rooms have come in the years but okay. What I didn't like was the atmosphere. The ladies at the reception shortly connected, null friendly. When I wanted to use the wellness area at 17.00 at 17.00 I said, unfortunately there are no more towels. At breakfast there was always a few out. Sorry, but with these many "small things" there is no good overall picture."

"The hotel looks very nice from the outside. It’s located in the middle of the village, and you can reach every destination from there. Our room was clean and spacious. They got a strange policy that you can chose not to have your room cleaned for environmental reasons. I’m familiar to have an option for not changing your towels, but not to leave out the whole room. The staff responsible for breakfast and the restaurant is overwhelmed with their tasks. A lot of running around that results in disappointing service. There’re better options available for a better price. The management is arrogant and didn’t give me the feeling that I was a welcome guest. When addressing the room cleaning policy issue, we received an arrogant and rude answer. I’m not paying to get insulted."

"A cozy, comfortable hotel in a quiet location in Tiefenbach, 4 kilometres from Oberstdorf. Everything was perfect: the suite with a big balcony, fantastic breakfast and dinner, peaceful spa area, and above all the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel well taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and relaxation."

Hotel Cafe Fuggerhof

"I stayed here 5 nights (11 - 16 Sept 2023) and thought it was absolutely fine. my simple, single (en-suite) room was perfect for what I needed (it didn't have a mountain view but that didn't matter). The breakfast buffet was generous, varied and tasted great. And the staff were friendly, attentive and patient with my rusty German! You also get (in summer season, at least) the Walser Card which gives discounts on a number of attractions, local transport and cable cars - sadly, I didn't realise until after it's also valid at the Dampfbierbrauerei (steam beer brewery, which is also worth a visit..!). The hotel is located about 12mins' walk from the village centre stores, bars and restaurants. I came to Oberstdorf for the Viehscheid (festival marking the bringing down of the cattle into the valley from the high alpine pastures), and the hotel is situated perfectly on the right side of the village for this. Similarly for the ski jumping centre. There's also possibilities for hiking/biking direct from the hotel out across the meadows, or onto any of the other hundreds of kilometres of trails around the village. I'd certainly have no issue staying here again. "

"The best View over Obersdorf. The staff is very polite. The breakfast is great with a view and the wellness part is also perfect only that it closes at 20:00 . The rooms look good but the bathrooms are a bit small . The owner is your best friend and will assist you in whatever problem you will encounter. It's my second time here this year. Also the room card gives you local discounts and free bus rides and in the summer you get the Bahn to the top of the mountain also free."
