"I travelled with my parents to Nyon at the end of August. We stayed in Ambassador Boutique Hotel. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff and stayed in the spectacular Castle suite on the top floor. The suite is very spacious for 3 people. The view from the room is stunning, with Nyon castle & old town in the forefront and Geneva lake & Alps in the background. If you are lucky, you could even see Mt Blanc and sunrise from the balcony is very nice. The hotel is very well located, 5 minutes from train station and in the old town surrounded by good restaurants. I highly recommend staying in Nyon, when you plan to visit Geneva lake, and definitely stay in Ambassador. I will definitely be coming back."

"Hostel room was spacious for 6 beds. Nice big door to let the wind in, but can get pretty warm in the summer with only one stand-fan to share. More fans would be appreciated. Nice, spacious and clean showers. Dining area and relaxing/play area are good for working or chatting. Outdoor dining area is very nice. Not too far a walk from the Nyon train station, but could be a bit difficult if traveling with heavy baggage. Love the free transport card that allows us to go all the way up the mountains to La Cure!"

"We stayed 3 nights here whist visiting our friend who lives nearby. The hotel is lovely, super clean and comfortable and the staff are so friendly. The lady in charge at breakfast and in the mornings was absolutely brilliant. Breakfast was excellent with fresh orange juice from a juicer, great coffee and lots of choice on food and amazing home made yoghurt. We had a suite at the back with a terrace so you could see the lake. Gin bar wasn’t open in the hotel as they have a bar opposite, outside at the park in the summer which had the amazing choice of gins and cocktails (only issue that shut earlier on Sunday and I didn’t get my margarita!) All was perfect. Would definitely recommend."

"+ Good central location in Nyon near the old town and the train station Nice spacious room - The AC dind't work properly in our room, it got very humid during the nights, despite the AC running and the bathroom door closed. We even tried to air out the room before sleeping. The hotel staff tried to help which I appreciated, but in the end it just felt like a sauna and we had to sleep both nights with open windows, despite the street being loud right outside the window all night. I reached out to the hotel and they offered no refund but a discount for our next stay, excluding the dates which would have been most useful for us. When I asked what specific disocunt the hotel had in mind and if was possible to not have any block out dates - the hotel stopped responding. That's not a very nice way to treat costumers, costumers that are willing to come back despite the conditions provided uring our last stay."

"Terrific hotel with very nice accommodations, good location, super helpful and friendly staff. I would stay here again. The bed was very comfortable and sleep was easy to come by. View out the window was fabulous -- overlooking Lake Geneva. Easy to walk around town to shops, bakeries, restaurants, and along the waterfront. Also close enough to the train station. Only weird things (and hence the minus one star): front door hard to find lol, and the hallway right outside the hotel room door is pitch black until you trigger the motion detector. But you have to walk a bit into the complete darkness, waving your arms to trigger the motion detector. Luckily, no one fell down the stairs, but kinda odd. Other than that, a terrific hotel!"

"The only advantage is that the location is very good to walk to the train station~ there is 3-5 minutes away. The room is small, the worst thing is that there is air conditioning inside, there is a small poor fan! I can sleep with the window open every day. Because the room is close to the road, the window is noisy and I can hardly sleep. Breakfast is also very simple, most things to eat at 9 o'clock on the first day are gone, a waiter can't be busy there. Salami is gone and will not add."
