Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu

📍 Otemachi, 1 Chome−1−4 プラサヴェルデ, Numazu
★★★★ 9.3 (314 reviews)

"The hotel deserves an excellent mark. The hotel is situated next to Central Station; nevertheless, it is a very calm area. I was on my way from Mt. Fuji to take the Shinkansen to Osaka, so I decided to stay in the little town of Numazu to get real fresh sashimi at the Fish Market. Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu was a perfect solution. The room was very bright, clean, and spacious. The personnel were very kind and spoke English. If you are lucky enough, you'll get a room with a view of Mt. Fuji just from your window. So, I can give only positive feedback. Highly recommended!"

📍 192 Shige, Numazu
★★★ 8.2 (11 reviews)

"Although it's not in the heart of Numazu, its location along the beach makes it a great place for a quiet stroll. Nearby is Koyotei Memorial Park, so guests should definitely stop by. The facilities may feel a bit dated, but they're well-equipped with amenities like a large public bath (including an open-air bath), foot bath, washing machine, massage chair, and bar. It's also well-maintained. The sea view from the room was nice, but don't be alarmed by all the bugs crawling on the windows at night. A shuttle bus is available for check-out, so if your schedule allows, it might be a good idea to take advantage of it."

"My husband made a reservation for my birthday. I remember being overwhelmed by the splendor of the view of Mt. Fuji from our room and the deliciousness of the food when we visited here many years ago. Shortly after that, I gave a stay here as a gift to a special person. Many years have passed, and now that we are through the COVID-19 pandemic, my husband asked me, "What kind of inn would you like to go to for your birthday this year?" I answered Shotokan. There was no particular place I wanted to go to, but if he said so, I thought Shotokan would be a good inn with a hot stone bath. (Sorry.) The result. Since it was after the COVID-19 pandemic, the hot stone bath was abolished, and the meals in the private rooms were also canceled, so we ate in the room. However. My husband borrowed fishing gear (for a fee) immediately after arriving and enjoyed fishing, and he happened to catch a few fish. It was soothing to watch him like a boy. When I asked the gentleman (customer) who was enjoying fishing next to me the name of the fish he caught, he kindly told me and I felt relieved. It was always just my husband and I. From check-in to check-out, the wonderful gentleman and waitress gave me a luxurious time, which wiped away my twisted personality that no matter where I spent my birthday, it would just be the same old drunken night. Even though it had been many years since my first visit, the food was still incredibly delicious. The dishes were particularly noteworthy. Even if I liked this dish and wanted to buy it somewhere and serve it at home, I have no confidence that I would be able to serve food that matches it. The person in charge of the room was a young man, but he was a gentle man who added a touch of elegance to an adult's birthday. Of course, the man who moved the car was also very gentlemanly, so I was able to leave the car with peace of mind. My husband asked for chiropractic treatment before dinner, and his skill was real. My husband complained of insomnia, and the chiropractor's technique was a clean hit, and he fell into a deep sleep early, even though it was my birthday. I was very satisfied every night, soaking in the hot spring in my room with a delicious red wine in hand. I was happy to spend my birthday here. I think it's perfect for adult couples looking for something out of the ordinary. If the weather is good, you can see Mt. Fuji in the morning, but the surprise doesn't have to be Mt. Fuji to be good enough. By the way, the birthday cake was delicious."

"A very bad experience. It is neither a hotel nor a B&B. It is my own house. The owner neither speaks English nor uses translation software and cannot communicate throughout the process! How dare a hotel like this have the guts to accept foreign tourists? The transportation is very inconvenient. The bus only leaves every hour. After finally arriving, it was two hours before the check-in time. I wanted to store my luggage and walk around nearby. The store owner refused and asked him why. He said it was not three o'clock yet. I laughed. After staying in the hotel for so many days, there were so many foreign tourists who arrived early to store their luggage. Whoever had the right travel time card didn’t have to check in! We were speechless. The 40-degree high temperature threw all our luggage out and asked us to come back at three o'clock. So we chose not to check in that day. This person was smearing Japan, and we seriously suspected that the owner of this hotel was a nationalist. No one should come, so as not to cause travel trouble for us."

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Numazu ★★★★
"Was pleasantly surprised about their large rooms (by Japanese standards) and overall stay has been very good. Will mark it for next visit to Fuji area. They do provide parking (unlimited access) at 1000Yen a day which is very good for us. Next to the hotel is the town's convention centre. The walking street is 700m away at the other end of the train station next block that offers a nice shopping and dining experience. Great sleepy town if you have planned to chill. The price they offers just tops it. Great stay."

"The air conditioner is almost out of function. I called the front desk, but I gave you a fan, so I want you to put up with it. I went with my children in the summer, but it was the worst. I think the room temperature is probably close to 30℃ and the risk of heat stroke is high."
