The Park Hotel ★★★★
"The room is large, clean and hygienic"
Dilkhusa Grand Hotel by Compass Hospitality ★★★
"Great location, the rooms were decent but did smell something off sometimes in the room I was staying."
The North Cliff Hotel ★★★★
The Olive Branch ★★★★
"Stayed in Room 3 with roll top bath and Harbour View, absolutely stunning, better even than pics. Jo made us feel extremely welcome, the breakfast was really delicious and plentiful. Range of choices, all freshly cooked to order. Having spent just one night here I would happily book again and come stay for longer. Avoid Wednesday in Feb as most restaurants closed."
The Royal & Fortescue Hotel ★★★
"Absolutely love this hotel! We’ve visited several times for the best Sunday carvery in Barnstaple and were so excited to stay the night. We weren’t disappointed! Will be back soon 😀"
The Barnstaple Hotel ★★★
"Quite a basic and functional room. Opens to outdoor area. Has indoor and outdoor pools and a fitness room/gym. Amazingly powerful shower and clean high spec hotel common areas. A solid 3 star hotel with free parking as a bonus for this area."
Lorna Doone House ★★★★
"This is the best B&B in the UK. Amazing hospitality from the hosts, beautiful rooms, tasty and plentiful food, good parking, astounding location over the river and near the sea - all at lovely Lynmouth, a beautiful seaside village with plentiful walks and places to visit by car or good bus service. By the way, not only is this a great B&B, tasty homecooked evening meals are also available on request: the meals are good value for money - and far better than any you can buy elsewhere. I very strongly recommend you stay here."
Highcliffe House ★★★★★
"Thank you Richard and Robert for looking after us during our recent 4 night stay at Highcliffe House. What a wonderful place to stay in an amazing part of North Devon. Highcliffe House is situated high above Lynton and Lynmouth with fabulous views of the surrounding headland, bay and sea. We stayed in Kipscombe which is a good size room with a super king bed and plenty of storage space for clothing etc. There is a small en-suite shower room. This room is on the top floor of the building and has stunning views which you never tire of. The premises are kept immaculately clean throughout. Breakfast is a real treat served in a lovely room again with great views. Richard and Robert take immense pride in presenting a wonderful selection which is preordered the evening before. We walked every day straight from the front door taking routes in different directions including The Valley of the Rocks, Lee Abbey, Watersmeet etc. The surrounding area is stunning and Richard was very helpful with recommendations for walks and the best places to eat. The Kensington Restaurant and The Oak Room (tapas) were our favourites, both amazing food. Thank you again for a wonderful stay we are hoping to visit again in the not to distant future."
Avoncourt Lodge ★★★
"Fantastic good old fashioned bed and breakfast. Lovely hosts and smashing breakfast. Can’t recommend this place enough."

Rising Sun Hotel
St Vincent Guest House
"Absolutely superb, this has to be the best B&B we've ever stayed, nothing is to much trouble and Maria's attention to detail is outstanding, "for example" there's no struggling to open those the little sauce sachets at breakfast in the morning as a small pair of scissors is provided and Clives breakfast will set you up for the whole day, we felt very welcome as did our little dog who was also well looked after, we all hope we can return one day...."
Royal Britannia Hotel
"Great opportunity to have a lovely harbour side experience sat on the hotel terrace. Terrace was unclean and tables marked and sticky. We ordered a baked potato which arrived cold. And ham egg and chips - chips were ‘ok’ - quite dry. Egg was ok. Ham cannot be described as ham. More like rough overcooked 5 day old bacon with a disturbing green sheen to it. We did get a refund but no apology - it clearly didn’t matter and didn’t seem unusual. Will not return"
North Devon Resort
Trimstone Manor Country House Cottages
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Trimstone Manor Hotel. The whole place has an old world charm about it. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the delicious 'Full English Breakfast' certainly lived up to its name! Our mixed group were able to enjoy the pool table in the games room and also the large swimming pool - such a great facility. We were able to have our own Qigong session in a secluded part of the pretty and extensive garden one morning, accompanied by the rather raucous calls of the resident peacock (who obliged us with several displays of his magnificent tail feathers). We were not blessed with the best weather over our weekend stay and can only imagine how relaxing it would be, and how splendid the whole place would look, in lovely bright sunshine. We are all certainly very keen to return to this quiet and charming family run hotel."
Kentisbury Grange
"I’ve been fortunate enough to be well travelled and stayed in hundreds of hotels but this one is one of the best. The little details make this place so special. The accommodation was of exceptional quality with a massive bathroom, the room was spacious but so cosy I was asleep by 9.30! The food was delicious, the quality was outstanding and so lovely to see the chef taking real pride in what he does. The service was amazing, the waitresses and management were so accommodating and went above and beyond for us. This is the best value for a hotel, we hope to be back v soon!!"
Cairn House
"We stayed for 3 days here late june for a treat. Maggie and her team were the best. It is a well placed B&B with great rooms and a lovely breakfast. It was great to stay there."
The Imperial Hotel
"This was truly one of the most unforgettable birthday experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was beyond anything I expected. The staff went out of their way to make the day feel extra special, and I was genuinely moved by their kindness. The room was stunning, the vibe was just right, and every facility added to the comfort of our stay. A big thank you to the lovely lady at reception, her warm welcome and constant support throughout made all the difference. It was a birthday I’ll always remember!"
Moorlands
".The hotel is beautifully clean and sparkling. The proprietors Deisy and Mark are friendly and welcoming. The towels are fluffy and spotless, the beds are comfortable and warm. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice served at tables with linen table clothes and serviettes. Little touches like a pot of local marmalade enhance the experience."
North Walk House
The Collingdale Guest House
"A warm and welcoming environment, the sea views from the upper bedroom were delightful, providing sights of both the water and the wonderful hills and countryside.. Sharon and Daryl were great hosts and breakfast was scrumptious"
