"We have so many positive experiences and lifelong memories from our week at beaches. Overall the rooms were wonderful, staff was welcoming and kind, activities were plentiful, and food options were varied and yummy!! Some of the special things I want to highlight include the sensitivity to gluten allergy everywhere we went. I was always included in the meal with consideration of my needs and the food was great!!! Camiesha is a wonderful bar tender on the beach and made each drink with a smile. She was wonderful with our kids, particularly my son Jensen. Thank you Camiesha. Lindsey welcomed us at the entrance with a giant smile and Jamaican love. He sat next to my son and shared stories of life. He was so kind and his smile melts your heart. Thank you Lindley!! Also I want to thank Roman in photography for taking such care with our wedding photos. He made each shot fun and memorable. We had a great time collaborating with him!!! Tommy-Ann, our wedding coordinator was splendid! She provided the right amount of guidance while allowing us to have our unique requests. She made sure those happened too!!! Our day and week felt stress free and perfect because of her. Thank you so much!!! My last big thank you goes out to the water sports group!! Sheeran and RoseMarie kept my big group organized and having fun!!! Micah made our welcome to the beach every morning and introduced new opportunities like skiing, snorkel, and even a private tour. Our private tour was so affordable and gave my family a once in a lifetime tour of Jamaica and Negril. Baba was the captain and was a wealth of knowledge!!! He gave us great historical info while being full of love and life!!! Papa Smurf was the expert snorkel and dive guide. He took us snorkeling in a cave, diving at Rick’s Cafe and even a sunset snorkel over the ship wreck. We also had our wonderful Micah for any additional needs and smiles!! We got to sing him Happy Birthday and celebrate a terrific day with family, friends, and Jamaica. Baba, Papa Smurf and Micah were so loving, kind, knowledgeable and respectful of each of us and our needs. They made the family vacation a treasured memory for all. We love you guys!!"

"Room attendants need to be more polite everyone deserve the same treatment they treat people base on where ur from and that is not nice we jamaicans treated poorly and we pay the same money like the others the lady who takes us to the room was very nice and the receptionist were amazing"

"This place is on its way to being the best on the beach. The hotel has been recently and lovingly renovated. The Oceanview King Suites are accurately shown in the pictures on the website, and are very nicely done. They are spacious, high ceilinged, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. There was both a fridge and a mini-bar with snacks and drinks in the room. The exterior of the hotel was beautifully lit at night with almost no white light. The overall vibe was excellent. The balcony on the Oceanview King Suite was comfortable and equipped with hanging chairs. The view from the balcony is notably absent from the pictures on the website as there is a two story building in front of it. Despite this building housing the kitchen and restaurant a few feet away, the room was relatively quiet in the morning, even with the windows open. The view of the ocean is, at best, obstructed by the building. In this building, above the restaurant, is another bar and lounge space. This looks like it will be great for events. It sits slightly higher that the balcony of the room and is surrounded by glass partial walls below the railings. So, if you sit on the balcony and look off towards the right, you can see a bit of the ocean through two panes of glass and across the wide open lounge space. The lounge is a great spot to happy hour and watch the sunset. The beach is lovely soft white sand and the ocean was very calm during our stay. There are umbrellas and lounge chairs available, as well as a beach bar with swings. The food and drinks on the beach were excellent. There are floaties and water toys available for guest use. The restaurant was generally fantastic, and will be reviewed separately. There seemed to be a steady of stream of live music during the afternoons and evenings. The live sax player was amazing over the weekend, as was the Tuesday night Reggae band. There are bars and restaurants in each direction on the beach for a bit of variety. The staff is great and well intentioned. It is clear that there is an active effort at training and improving the service. There were water issues in Negril throughout our stay, and the public water system had apparently failed. The hotel took several deliveries of water by truck, but there were also large chunks of a few days with no running water. While any hotel can be affected by water supply issues, the great ones have a plan for dealing with the problem. There wasn’t much of a plan for either conserving water when it was there, or working with guests to find solutions when it was not. The staff response was merely that there was no water, and that a truck was probably coming at some point. You never knew which flush could be the last, and there didn’t seem to be much of plan for when the toilets were full. One of the true pleasures of life at the beach is the shower at the end of the day to wash the salt, sand, and sunscreen off and get ready for the even"

"Absolutely had the best time at Rock House! There is not one thing I didn't love, and would recommend it in a heartbeat. Our room was the least expensive, and while small, met our needs. One day I'd love to stay in one of the villas overlooking the sea! Housekeeping was excellent. The grounds are expansive and the cliffside views and access to the water is amazing. You can just sit on a lounge chair all day looking out over the water. The staff is all gracious and wonderful. The guests are from all over, and everyone was kind and friendly. Rock House throws in a little extra something every day - one day a complimentary short massage, another day was free drinks by the pool, and every day we enjoyed happy hour from 5-6 p.m. Sunsets were awesome. Location was great and we walked to nearby restaurants - Sips and Bits, Ericka's, and Xtabi. Had breakfast at Rock House which was tasty. The location allowed us to get out and support more local businesses."
