"This was honestly the best hostel I stayed at in Kathmandu. It really felt like a home away from home. The hostel is run by a family and they truly treat you like part of it. I was traveling solo and they made a big effort to make me feel comfortable and safe. At one point they even checked in on me when I hadn’t followed my usual routine, which I really appreciated. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace every morning was really nice. The food was exactly how I like it. It was delicious and felt both fresh and nutritious. The rooms were very clean and since the place is quite new everything feels fresh and well taken care of. The location is also great. It is very close to the Monkey Temple but still in a quieter area that does not feel overly touristy. The place also felt very safe with a gate at the entrance. They arranged my bus to Pokhara and even walked with me early in the morning to make sure I got on the bus. They were generally very helpful with everything and always welcoming. All of this at a very affordable price. I would definitely stay here again. 10 out of 10."

"Mira and Sudarshan were very friendly, thoughtful and caring hosts. Lots of interesting walks can be made from the homestay and it is very relaxing to be away from the mania of downtown Kathmandu. They helped me sort out treatment for a damaged shoulder and were full of lots of ideas of how I could spend my time in the valley. They also attract a wonderful array of guests as well."

"I am writing this review with a sense of disappointment, as this establishment has so much potential but is being severely let down by one critical factor: its service staff. Let me start with the positives, because they are significant: The View was Amazing: Absolutely breathtaking. It was the highlight of our visit and created a wonderful initial atmosphere. The Rooms are Quite Good: The space was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. We had no complaints about the ambiance or the physical setting. The Food was Okay: It was neither memorable nor terrible. It was perfectly acceptable and did not detract from the experience. However, the entire visit was completely undermined by the behavior of the service staff. They were consistently rude, unaccommodating, and created an uncomfortable atmosphere. To provide a specific example that underscores this lack of professionalism: at one point, I asked a server for his name, and he refused to tell me. This act shows a stunning lack of accountability and basic customer care. It is a profound shame that such a beautiful setting, which clearly has a lot to offer, is being sabotaged by the very people who are supposed to be hosting guests. The rude service was not just a minor inconvenience; it was the dominant memory we took away from our visit."
