The room is large and well-equipped with complete facilities. There is a smart toilet. The design is very thoughtful and the bedding is very comfortable. The courtyard outside the room is carefully decorated and beautiful. You can sit in the courtyard to eat and enjoy the scenery. There are rice fields outside the house, which is very pastoral and quiet. However, when I originally booked the room, I went because the reviews said that the boss lady’s cooking was delicious and that breakfast was included (after all, 450 is not very cheap). However, during the two days we stayed, only the boss received us, and breakfast was the third. One day we only had eggs and white porridge. On the second day, when we expressed that we were not full and demanded some dry food, we got one steamed bun and a few pickles per person. Most of the dinner consisted of dishes that we had packed back for lunch. The boss helped me heat them up, plus a stir-fried bacon and boiled pea sprouts (the pea sprouts were very fresh, but they really didn’t have any flavor, and there was no salt... ) I’m really hungry every day… Generally speaking, the hardware facilities are good, but the service has not kept up... and this comment is because the boss didn't push me twice to write a comment within 24 hours after we left. The hotel is situated in a zen and peaceful location. Breakfast was good, dinner wasn't bad but was very pricey for what it's worth. It was very difficult to contact the front desk manager via Trip.com, in the end I had to call the hotel number (using Chinese, not foreigner friendly) to reserve hotel activities. We went on a tofu making session in a local homestay, it was a nice experience but do note the price (400 CNY for 2 person, 1 hour session), very simple process and kids friendly if you are going as a family. The beds were comfortable. We stayed at the Garden view room and there was a lack of privacy, people wandering at the restaurant balcony, or walking outside can see directly into our room, so we had to keep the curtains closed. For 3100 CNY/night I expected more exclusiveness. Staff was polite, kind and sweet, compliments on their service. Lastly the Chinese name listed on Trip.com was VERY confusing, particularly when communicating with drivers and agencies, as we were not sure whether we booked the correct Songtsam hotel. 维西松赞塔城酒店 (Trip.com name) vs. 松赞塔城山居 (松赞 official name), confirm that these two are the same...

The unbeatable mountain view is worth Lao Zhao's seven years of polishing. Every day, there are customized country delicacies, and there are also night talks around the fire accompanied by Lao Zhao's anecdotes: P I fell in love with the small town of Tacheng because of Yun Yutian. I would like to thank Lao Zhao for his warm hospitality and Jun for his passion and sharing of coffee. I wish everyone all the best and I am looking forward to seeing you next time.

I never expected to find such a hidden gem of a guesthouse in Tazhen. It has a large courtyard with free parking, spacious rooms, new facilities, and is very clean with comfortable bedding. The owner is very kind and told us to go early in the morning to see the golden monkeys.

Too satisfied. We booked Guyuan, stayed in three, and friends traveled together. Guyuan has a garden where you can eat outdoors. The housekeeper is also the boss here. It is very good. He helped us solve various problems. The luggage was carried upstairs. In order to let us have a party at night, we helped buy vegetables and cook for a whole day. The service staff together was an aunt and a beautiful sister. In the evening, they sang Naxi and Tibetan folk songs for us. Living here is simply too satisfying. Also help us contact the winery to visit and the Golden Monkey Park. I will definitely choose this next time I come to play with other friends.

Our time at was simply perfect! We couldn't imagine a better time. A big thank you for the warm hospitality. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home and took an incredible amount of time for us. We stayed 5 days and had a big adventure and a relaxing time. The host drove us to see the monkeys, we picked mushrooms, fished in the rice fields and just walking through the forest. They cooked us such amazing food. The place is much less touristy and therefore quieter, exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for everything!

The room is newly renovated, simple style, the bed is very soft compared to other hotels nearby is really cost-effective, clean, the front desk and the boss are very warm, the service attitude is good, the mineral water is free, it is recommended! This is a noisy hotel, we could hear the neighbours talking and showering. There was also a lot of noise from the street. It was quiet only after midnight. The room was clean, the sanitary facilities though outdated. Nice view of the mountains. Friendly owners.

The owner of Shenchuan is wonderful! I am a foreigner and and the owner helped to organize my transport to Tacheng from Shangri-La and back, which I appreciate so much. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff also helped arrange a driver to take me to the Yunnan Golden Monkey National Park. I am so grateful for their help!
