The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was especially cozy. The owner is an excellent cook; both the meat and vegetable dishes were delicious. Although the mountain-view room was a bit pricier, waking up to that view made it completely worth it! The hotel is located within the scenic area, and you can drive directly in. It was wonderful to take an early morning stroll in the woods near the hotel, before other tourists arrived on the mountain. Truly refreshing! 👍

It's a bit of a walk from the scenic area entrance, about a 20-minute walk. There's parking and charging stations in the backyard. The guesthouse itself is quite well-designed, with many succulents in the courtyard and on the rooftop terrace, all very well cared for. Breakfast includes boiled rice noodles. Perhaps due to the large number of tourists during the National Day holiday, cleaning wasn't done properly, but thankfully the owner came promptly and was very helpful. Hopefully, the owners will prioritize hygiene, as this is the most important aspect of any guesthouse.

Choosing Funinglou for my Jizu Mountain pilgrimage was totally worth it! It's right next to the mountain gate, making it super convenient for walking uphill, and parking in the courtyard is hassle-free. The courtyard of this Bai ethnic minority house is quaint and charming, and enjoying tea and sunshine in the garden is incredibly pleasant. The rooms were spotless, and the bedding was comfortable and quiet. The owners, a local Bai couple, were incredibly welcoming. They not only gave me a very detailed guide to pilgrimage but also recommended less-known viewpoints. It felt like visiting relatives; the stay was much more comfortable than a hotel. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm at Jizu Mountain!
