"2023 I visited this hotel with my mom and a few of my siblings. The location is amazing, the hotel rooms are also very clean and spacious with great stuff and it’s a very quiet space because of this past experience I decided to book my mum for two days in winter 2025. My mum has been sick so the doctor advised her to rest and get some sauna and since the hotel claims to have if we thought it be convenient for her to stay. It’s currently winter in South Africa and yet the were no gowns in the room this really upset me because I am not even in South Africa now I have to call for that request while I’m busy. I am truly disappointed at these two points."

"Never book with Agoda travel Agents NEVER. We booked at this guesthouse while traveling thru Agoda, the guesthouse replied immediatly that they are fully booked, Agoda ignored the email, and still debit the amount from bank card, we arrived just to find out they fully booked, we were stranded and had to drive in the middle of the night to our next destination. Since the 28 of March 2026 we try to get a refund from Agoda with no luck. I went on facebook and there are litteraly 100 and 100 of people that lost money to Agoda due to this bad service. So please dont make the same mistake and loose money to Agoda scammers. Booking never took place because fulle booked, but i paid for it. Invoice attached"

"It took a while to find this place.. and I was expecting to find a normal house with rooms, but we drove up a long drive and found a huge place. The entrance was big - like walking into someone's living room. It was lovely and the kind lady behind reception gave us a warm welcome after a long long drive. We were shown to our room , which like reception, was huge!! A studio with a large and super comfortable bed, a kitchenette area complete with a small fridge, and a tea/coffee station. There was a small seating area with a sofa and a few comfy chairs and the bathroom had a large walk-in shower with good pressure.. Breakfast the following morning served in the dining room all nicely laid out and so we were ready for our onward journey We enjoyed our stay albeit for one night with much needed sleep and slept like logs.."

"The guest house itself was comfortable, clean, and well located to Grey College, where we had sport/culture on. A special mention to Juan, who assisted us fantastically throughout our stay — his service and friendliness were truly appreciated. There were, however, a few disappointments. The electric blankets on the beds had cables that were too short to comfortably reach the wall plugs. This meant that while our upper bodies stayed warm, our feet were ice cold during the night, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The biggest disappointment was breakfast on our last morning. Breakfast service starts at 7:00, and when we arrived at 7:15 before leaving for the airport, we were informed that one of the staff members responsible for preparing breakfast had not arrived. We had already paid for breakfast in advance, yet were told that no breakfast would be available. There were cereals and muffins available, but considering the amount paid for breakfast, this was not what we expected. Unfortunately, we had to leave for the airport hungry. Despite this, we still appreciated the hospitality and especially Juan’s excellent service. With a bit more attention to these details, the experience could have been outstanding."

The peaceful, quiet atmosphere was exactly what we needed, and waking up to the beautiful birdlife made it easy to forget that you're actually in Bloemfontein. Check-in was quick and effortless, and our host was warm, welcoming, and a pleasure to deal with. Everything was clean, comfortable, and made us feel right at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!"

"We were Very disappointed with this stay. The room did not look at all like on the photos. The bedding was not very clean, the shower was blocked and the place looked generally unkept. The room is basically in a house with a separate bathroom and really unpleasant and noisy as you can hear everything from the room next to you. "

"This is a place I'll recommend from now on. The service is excellent, views immaculate and everything is clean and tidy. We went there with no booking and was assisted with the utmost respect. The location is close to the Mediclinic and being out of town that was a big plus. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The rooms are well kept and neat. Definitely value for money. The noise level was no existent. I did not use the amenities but saw a nice restaurant on the premises. Next time I make use of it"

"I spent a night at this hotel with some family. I have mixed feelings about it. The rooms were clean and good, with a nice bathroom. The interior of the hotel is pretty. The rooftop bar and dining room are good settings. However, my dissatisfaction arose during the meals. The drinks took a while to arrive once we ordered even though the place wasn’t busy. This was confusing since the drinks we ordered wouldn’t take a long time to prepare (e.g. a can of soft drink or a beer). During the meals, we found that we couldn’t order certain things on the menu because the kitchen didn’t have enough stock of it left. We only found this out after ordering and had to take another look at the menu."

"The rooms are not kept up to standard. The toilet was not working, even after someone attempted to fix it. We had no towels or toilet paper. We had to ask for it. In the morning we had no coffee, tea, sugar or milk to have anything before we left on our 11 hour trip home. The remote given to us, had no working button to open the gate. I will not recommend this place to anyone to stay"
