Kibo Palace Hotel Moshi
"The hotel was clean and friendly... great. The restaurant's atmosphere, food, and service were great. The rooftop bar... friendly and the view was great~~^^"
Kitolie Home and Lodge
"The butler was very polite and provided friendly service. The price was reasonable and breakfast was included. However, the water pressure was very low when showering late at night."
The Better Inn
"I stayed for one week. Overall it wasn't too bad, but I am not a difficult person to please. More picky customers would probably not be too happy with the service. The Positives: - The Room was a decent size, had great water pressure and a very effective hot water heater. - Bed was quite comfortable and had extra pillows - area is quiet and peaceful setting - the food was quite delish - only a short boda or tuktuk ride into town Negatives: - the power goes out often - no AC in rooms (does have fan though) - no screens on windows...so when the power goes out and you have no fan, you can't even open the windows at night cause you'll get eaten alive by mosquitoes...so you just sit in a hot ass room with no air movement. - staff were friendly but seemed very unmotivated. Had to wave someone down every single time I needed a refill of my drink, or anything like that. - in 7 days, my room was not cleaned once. I am sure they would have if I asked, but normally this is something that is automatically done."
Kili Haven Lodge
"Kili Haven Lodge truly felt like a home away from home! The room was spacious, clean, and super comfortable just what I needed after long travel days. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was a big plus. And the breakfast? Absolutely delicious fresh, local, and full of flavor. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the peaceful setting made my stay even more special. I’d definitely recommend this gem in Moshi to anyone visiting!"
Panama Garden Resort
"A bit of noise from the cars driving past on the main road Rooms were fresh and tidy. Very near the airport Great price for a family I like the environment, and compound space Great customer care from Shamsa, who kept saying hello to us every morning The pickup at airport was excellent, on time and driver was courteous. Enjoyed the ride from Airport to hotel, the driver ensured he played very good soothing music."
Climbers Home
"I couldn't ask for a better hotel. The rooms were very clean and even had mosquito nets. Unused rooms were aired daily. We were able to eat breakfast and dinner on the rooftop, which was delicious. Even when I didn't have any other business, I could relax on the rooftop and enjoy the view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Above all, the staff were incredibly kind. They arranged a cheap bus from the hotel to Dodoma and even provided a pickup service from the bus stop. They also organized a coffee tour for about $35, provided packed lunches and water, and even hiked to the village waterfall, making it a very affordable tour. They were always concerned about us and honestly quoted prices, so it was clear they weren't just after our money. They were always there to help us with anything, like recommendations for good restaurants nearby. If you're ever in Moshi, I highly recommend giving them a try."
Volunteer Hostel
Kilimanjaro Scenic Lodge
"spent 3 nights at Kilimanjaro Scenic Lodge, and it was truly a memorable experience. The lodge is owned and operated by Mr. Gabriel, who made us feel completely at home. The property is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature—an ideal place to relax and recharge. What really made the difference was Mr. Gabriel’s incredible hospitality. He helped us arrange transportation from the airport, transfers to Arusha, and even local tours to explore nearby adventures. From a Moshi-style barbecue to finding medicine when we needed it, he took care of everything with genuine care. The homemade meals were delicious and gave us the energy we needed after our Kilimanjaro climb. We especially enjoyed our long conversations with Mr. Gabriel about Tanzanian culture—his deep respect for community and tradition shines through in everything he does. Mr. Gabriel puts is incredibly resourceful and passionate—whether it’s organizing safaris, cooking local cuisine, or curating authentic experiences. If you’re looking for genuine hospitality and a place that feels like home, Kilimanjaro Scenic Lodge is the perfect choice."
Nyota Safari Lodge Moshi
"Our stay at Nyota Safari Lodge was very pleasant overall and ideal for travelers planning activities around Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge is well located and works perfectly as a base before or after Kilimanjaro excursions. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the experience felt authentic and welcoming. The food was freshly prepared every day and tasted excellent. We especially enjoyed the typical local dishes, which made the stay feel like a genuine cultural experience rather than just a standard hotel stop. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It is also a good place to organize activities: you can easily ask about safaris and tours in advance and receive very good offers directly through the lodge. This makes planning onward travel and excursions simple and convenient. Overall, a lovely and comfortable stay — especially recommended for anyone traveling to the Kilimanjaro region and looking for a reliable base with great local food and helpful service."

Explorers Kilimanjaro Boutique Hotel
Parkview Inn
"Hotel had a great view of Kilamanjaro. Staff was friendly, place was clean. Food was good. Service was good. Breakfast buffet included eggs and coffee. They charged an uplift to use a credit card. This was repeated in a few locations around Arusha/Kilamanjaro - be prepared. If you walk outside of the hotel, there are bustling markets easy walking distance…prepare yourself for people asking you to buy things from them, this persisitance/hustle is commonplace in tourist areas. Staying inside the hotel compound insulates you from that. Good hotel!"
Keys Hotel
"Had dinner with my best friend at the restaurant. Elizabeth was our server for the night and her service was amazing. The food was good. I had the Chicken pizza and it was delicious."
Kibo Homes Moshi
"I was so disappointed in this place. Many of the big amenities listed on the booking platform used were missing: gym, breakfast, oven. Many other listed amenities were missing upon arrival but were brought eventually: soaps, salt/olive oil, bug nets. The kitchen was infested with gnats upon arrival and the floor very dirty. Broken glass in the downstairs bathroom, and leaking shower upstairs. Backyard was not as photographed (I stayed in house 3 but the photos are not of house 3) - it was almost all dirt (no grass). Host very long to respond. Local manager unable to assist with simple things like rides into town for a fair price. Multiple power outages which is normal for Moshi, but the generator was not strong enough to handle the outages so we were without power and internet many times. When it worked, the internet was strong. Because of the serious inaccuracies in the listing, I had to pursue booking agency for refund as host was unwilling to compensate. I would not return and do not recommend this place."
Primeland Hotel
"I thought it was a new B&B, but it's actually been around for quite a while. The room was reminiscent of a 1990s hostel. The clock wasn't working, the mirror faced the bed, and there were no bedside power outlets. The bathroom water was inconsistent, running hot and cold, and wouldn't drain. There was no elevator, so the waiter had to lug my luggage up to the second floor. The restaurant was slow to serve, and there weren't many other options nearby. Since I was only staying for a few hours, it was fine. The waiters were friendly and welcoming, and the common areas were well-appointed. The value for money is quite good for the area, so I couldn't ask for too much."
Brubru Lodge
"Bru Bru Lodge is serene, beautifully maintained, and spotlessly clean. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. A perfect place to relax and unwind after long hike. Highly recommended!!"
NGUCHIRO PALACE HOTEL
"Wonderful, quiet and serene environment with cozy rooms. My friend and I enjoyed the food alot. I will recommend to others and come again. Note, there are monkeys around so free wildlife for you"
Ameg Lodge Kilimanjaro
"The staff were friendly, there was a pool, and the rooms were cottage-style, which was a nice touch for a resort hotel. The rooms were clean, and the beds had mosquito nets, so mosquito protection was excellent. It was convenient for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and taking safaris, but it was a bit far from downtown, so we had to use a car."
Nyumbani Hotels & Resorts - Moshi
"The hotel did not accept/ recognize our trip booking. They insisted we pay additional cash at the reception. Twice the amount listed on Trip. They insisted we should cancel our booking and pay cash which we had to do because we arrived at 6pm. The room was dusty. The bedding has stains. The wall paint was peeling and the shower was unusable. Breakfast was okay."
Kinga Homes Boutique Hotel
"Wonderful staff, secure and beautiful setting. Very clean rooms. Hot water, air conditioning. Good food and drink. We are 2 colleagues traveling for work and stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Perfect with private bed and shower/ toilet for each of us."
