"The location is breathtaking with stunning views of the canon. The atmosphere was magical, so peaceful. The rooms are beautiful, again with stunning views of the canon and the best views from the bath! It is excellent value for money, including views, comfort and breakfast! Cleanliness was 100%, rooms and communical areas, such as the pool and dining area was clean and tidy. Everyone working at umvangati house were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The noise level was low, very quiet and a great place to relax. The food was amazing and everything we ate was delicious! Especially the gluten free options, I had a chocolate lava cake one evening and it was the best gluten free pudding I have ever eaten! We honestly had the best 3 nights here before heading home and I would 100% recommend!"

The food was excellent throughout our stay, and the staff provided warm, friendly service that made us feel very welcome. The property could benefit from some general maintenance and a few updates in places, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. With a bit of attention to these small details, it would be exceptional. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Unembeza to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great food and hospitality. "

"The initial reception was poor, but the evening staff were of a much higher standard. We chose the resort for the Spa but found it fully booked by day visitors… this is not acceptable. The restaurants were fine but again frequented by day visitors with poor social skills and loud voices, very difficult to celebrate a romantic celebration. Management were good though at attempting to resolve and unnecessarily gave us a room upgrade. "

"The hotel is in an excellent location, has all meals included, and 2 game drives, one in the morning and another in the late afternoon. The reserve is rich in savanna animals; we saw a leopard and several lionesses. I recommend it!"

"Second stay here and it was wonderful. Sur is a fantastic host and was very helpful setting up appointments when my father in law needed a doctor. The whole staff team is so warm and friendly and they cook up a fantastic breakfast. Love the outdoor shower - especially when visited by some kudu walking by. "
