Alfa Suites - Montevideo
"For overnight only, very old dated and the building in bad condition"
Radisson Montevideo Victoria Plaza Hotel
"Run down hotel. Location is not very safe. We arrived by car and there was no one outside to greet us and tell us where to park to do our check in. There was a. Security person who showed up later but he was talking with someone else. Meanwhile some unsolicited characters showed up. The concierge was on his break. After I asked the people parked on the reserved space to please move, I was able to check in. This must have been a nice hotel but if feels old and stale. The towels in our room where very used and thin. The bathroom downstairs is old and unkept. Not worth staying"
Smart Hotel Montevideo
"Sheet was not 100% clean but the rest was . Great hotel"
Esplendor by Wyndham Montevideo Cervantes
"Wonderful place. A cozy hotel with a lovely breakfast. Conveniently located."
Puerto Mercado Hotel
"The room wasn't big, but it was very clean and compact. The location was good, with various restaurants downstairs."
Soro Montevideo, Curio Collection by Hilton
"Everything was excellent. The room had recently been redecorated and was very clean, the restaurant is superb, hotel staff was very friendly and pointed us to interesting places in the city. It is at a central location in the city so it's great if you're planning to explore by walking on the rambla. We hope to visit again soon!"
Hotel Europa
"Very decent place. Not the largest rooms, but you have everything you need. The staff is nice and helpful and the breakfast buffet is very fine."
Crystal Palace Hotel
"Close to City Centre. Slightly dated hotel, but offers super value inc breakfast. Decent sized room. Be armed with some Spanish and you’ll be fine. A small city to discover and this hotel offers an ideal base. 1 mile easy walk from ferry terminal."
Oxford Hotel
"At first I didn't like the look of this hotel. There was graffiti outside and my room was cold. I spent most the night looking at more expensive hotels. The next day I was glad I didn't change to another hotel. The heater in the room eventually did its job. The location turned out not to be so bad. The breakfast was good. The desk staff were very helpful. It worked out well, but next time I would book a hotel near Pocitos."

After Hotel Montevideo
"The room is a bit small, the breakfast is average, the hotel staff is very friendly, the location is good, close to Montevideo shopping. Shopping, buying phone cards and dining are very convenient, and the area is very safe"
Don Boutique Hotel Montevideo
"The room was awful and, at least some of the staff were awful. There was no mini fridge in the room, no coffee maker, kettle, cups/glasses, nothing. When I went to the front desk the guy (Miguel I think) at first pretended to be confused. I showed where on their web site it said "gourmet minifridge" he told me no that was not for standard rooms. I showed him that it said standard room. He then said that was for a queen standard and I had a twin. I showed him it said queen and twin. He said "Hmm nothing I can do." He seemed really committed to being right. The hotel has 21 rooms and most were vacant (I saw the house keepers list). Several other rooms had the doors open so I looked inside of 2 of them (higher end than my standard room) and neither had Gourmet minibars, although 1 of 2 had a minifridge and both did not look so in disrepair as mine. The experience went downhill from there. TV had only one channel, lots of broken and damaged fixtures, swing feature of A/C inoperable, both dimmer switches for lights over the bed were non functional, The Place is also next to a parking garage and the staff was incredibly loud. The solarium pool area was barren, not a chair or table in sight, no lights in the evening. The room was awful, the list of problems lengthy. I've attached some pics below. I guess you could claim that it is a one-off room, but if that's the case, why keep selling it? The morning staff and the breakfast was decent, but I'd avoid this place at all costs."
Palladium Business Hotel
"Very nice, spacious and bright room. I recommend it."
Own Montevideo
"It was absolutely great experience 10/10. I love when hotels pay attention on small things. We travel a lot and it’s hard to find good pillows , these are great , bed giant and very comfortable, even toilet paper quality is great . Cleaning girl was were nice and professional, she was very quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this place ."
Opta Coliving Punta Carretas
"Everything is great. It's an aparthotel, the area is great, and there's a lighthouse nearby. There's a separate, clean kitchen for hotel guests, so you can cook. There's a panoramic exit on the 11th floor. The room is large and comfortable. Everything is perfect."
Dazzler by Wyndham Montevideo
"The air conditioning didn't work."
Cala di Volpe Boutique Hotel
"Very comfortable corner suite overlooking the River Plate and the rambla. Restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast was also very good. Quite a haven and thanks to Uber can reach ferries and buses pretty quickly"
Cottage Puerto Buceo
"The hotel’s location is great and very close to the beach ,trail and shopping mall. The room is a bit small, it’s very clean. The hot water shower is powerful. The continental breakfast is simple but enough.Hotel staffs are very nice and helpful."
