"very friendly and approachable staff, good cleanliness throughout the hotel, such a nice and peaceful place (it was nice to just sit there listening to the birds), a breathtaking view, the breakfast was good (I particularly liked the oatmeal pancakes and the rice pudding and the corn bread); The bed and pillows were good and it was great that there was parking. In terms of negative points, I regret that the jacuzzi did not work 100% and I found that the shower had little pressure."

The accommodation is comfortable, beautifully decorated and perfectly combines modern facilities with the charm and character of the traditional schist villages. One of the highlights of our stay was the abundance of wildlife, particularly the many deer that can be seen in the area. Spotting deer in their natural habitat added a special touch to the experience and made our walks even more memorable. The property was spotless, well equipped and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and attentive, ensuring that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. "What a lovely place to stay, modern hotel in the middle of villages and farm land where the owner grows his own grapes for white and red wine and has his own olive grove which he also presses himself in house. You are greeted as a friend and soon feel at home, such a lovely opportunity to stay in such a place with an owner who has a passion for wine and an on sight restaurant which tries to be a bit different whilst cooking traditional Portuguese food. Of course you have got to try the owners own white wine but for us the star was his red, a blend of delicious Syrah and Merlot grapes, truly lovely. Ample parking for your car, lovely views from our bedroom window overlooking the vineyards and swimming pool. The owner took us around his cellars and showed us where he made his olive oil, so very proud and enthusiastic about what he has achieved and rightly so. The hotel is named in honour of his mother and she would be extremely proud of her son, he really has done a great job. Lovely bedroom, nicely furnished, good air conditioning and the most comfortable bed and pillows, in five weeks of touring Spain and Portugal this was by far one of the more comfortable beds and really unhappy to leave it in the morning. The restaurant is lovely, the food quality is very good , the staff are excellent and our waiter (sorry do not remember his name), spoke great English and made very good recommendations for our meals which are decent portions so maybe consider sharing a starter. Breakfast was served on a platter to your table, breads, cheeses, ham, fruit etc. So glad we were able to stay the night here on our touring holiday, highly recommend."
