"I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Millau and, unfortunately, found the experience to be far below expectations—especially for a hotel carrying the Mercure name. The bedroom was in a shabby and tired state, with dated furnishings and a general feeling of neglect. In-room facilities were extremely limited, lacking the basic comforts one would expect even from a mid-range hotel. Most concerning was the non-functioning air conditioning, which made the room uncomfortably warm and virtually unbearable during the night. Customer service was another disappointment. Staff were largely indifferent, offering little assistance or concern when issues were raised. The reception area, if you can call it that, is simply a small café table—hardly the professional first impression one would expect. It gave the distinct impression of a hotel that is neither well-managed nor particularly welcoming. Despite submitting a formal complaint about these issues, I have yet to receive any response or acknowledgment. This lack of accountability only reinforces the poor impression left by my stay. I would advise future travellers to look elsewhere until this property addresses these fundamental shortcomings. Sadly, it does not reflect the standards typically associated with the Mercure brand."

"Comfortable hotel with restaurant operating under the Logis de France banner and maintaining their customary high standards… well located and easy to park outside or in a secured garage a few metres away… The owners go out of their way to welcome you and make you feel at home … Room was cosy and the bed very comfortable and very little street noise… Dinner has a Finnish style menu and was delicious as was the copious breakfast … A thoroughly enjoyable stay and would certainly return…"
