Der Siegeler B&B - This Lifestylehotel Rocks ★★★
"Just back from a great week at Der Siegeler, the hotel has a modern vibe, and touches of the old tool, with some really interesting ornaments and photos on the walls, which showed some of the history of the building. The hotel is as described, rooms big and lovely, the finish is high quality and I'd definitely go back. The maids made up our rooms every day and left the duvets in the shape of hearts, really nice little touches like that made a difference. Mike the owner/manager is everywhere, he's manning the front desk, the bar and making the breakfasts. He is genuinely warm and welcoming, and you can see the pride he has in running the hotel. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and a decent selection, you won't go hungry there. Mikes sports bar is a great little spot, the staff in there are brilliant, and the service is spot on. It has a nice atmosphere and there was always some sports on the TV too, it was a great place to have a drink and chill out after the manicness of the apres ski bars near the lifts. Would recommend for a stay in Mayrhofen "
Alpine Hideaway Zillertalerhof - 4 Sterne Superior ★★★★
"Great location, friendly staff. Good pool/ decent size, excellent food. Overall very fair value. Can recommend."
Black Eagle Luxury Appartements ★★★★
"The hotel has a great location, every room is very clean, it's convenient to get around, the windows offer mountain views, and shopping is easy to find nearby. If I were to travel, I would definitely choose this hotel as my first choice."
Alpenresort Thanner ★★★★
"The apartment was beautifully furnished, well equipped and in a great location for the main ski lift, town and shops. The apartment buildings are attractive, one modern and one traditional. Easy access to ski room and on to lifts. Friendly greeting from reception on arrival, lots of useful information provided. Guest cards for the town arrived automatically and offered some useful discounts."
ElisabethHotel Premium Private Retreat- Adults Only ★★★★
"My husband and I visited this hotel in 2018 when (as I recall) it was officially five-star. We left with mixed feelings, and he wasn’t keen to return. So I came alone this year, and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. My sense is that the hotel now knows exactly what it is and has relaxed into catering for its clientele. I come to Mayrhofen to hike all day every day, so the three most important qualities in a hotel are food, sleep quality and the general warmth of the staff. If there is a decent swimming pool - and there is here - so much the better. I remember the Elizabeth’s food being consistently superb in 2018, and this year it was even better (a new chef and supporting team, I was told). Every dinner menu was inventive, with beautifully presented dishes which tasted wonderful. Moreover the restaurant experience was much, much better. In 2018 we found the superintending waitress quite controlling (in particular, not willing to pour our wine as fast as we wanted to drink it!). This year, although individual wine bottles were still (irritatingly) held centrally rather than left at guest tables, the wine waiter was responsive to guest wishes. And the wine was excellent and sensibly priced. As to sleep, I was allocated a spacious room - it must have been double, rather than the single I was expecting - which could not have been more comfortable, well laid out or quiet. I slept extremely well. And finally the hotel staff were just lovely. I think there may have been more staff than in 2018, so everything felt more relaxed. The Reception team were particularly helpful when I realised that my digital public transport pass (paid for and downloaded in the U.K.) was actually not going to work reliably in the mountains. We managed to convert it into a paper pass which functioned just fine. As an aside, the Zillertal Activcards (covering local cable cars, buses and trains), which we have bought in every previous visit to Mayrhofen, are now eyewateringly expensive. I saved a lot of money by buying the weekly travel passes and then paying for individual cable car ascents. So overall, I found this a wonderful hotel, very welcoming to me as a solo traveller, and I have now booked again for summer 2026."
Gut Stiluppe - 4 Sterne Superior Good Life Hotel ★★★★
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Mayrhofen and would definitely recommend it. We stayed in a Deluxe Double Room, which was beautiful, extremely spacious, and spotlessly clean. Everything felt very well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. In addition to a small but well-selected buffet, you can order freshly prepared dishes à la carte, all included in the room rate. There is a great selection, including different types of porridge, crêpes, waffles, teas, and more. Everything we tried was freshly made and delicious, and the overall quality was excellent. The staff were always incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We also really enjoyed the wellness area. The indoor and outdoor pools are beautiful, and the spa is a great place to relax after a day in the mountains. The location is another big plus: the hotel is surrounded by greenery and feels peaceful, while Mayrhofen town centre is only about a 15-minute walk away. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay. Beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast, great wellness facilities, lovely staff, and a very convenient location. Highly recommended!"
Hotel Neue Post - 4 Sterne Superior ★★★★
"Such a beautiful place, we’ve stayed in two other hotels in Mayrhofen but Neue Post is our favourite. The hotel is very modern and upmarket, rooms are immaculately clean and food is superb. The spa is an absolute highlight with drinks at the rooftop pool. (When we tried another hotel we actually paid to use the Neue Post Spa because it was warmer than the outdoor pool we had elsewhere). Our only critique is that my husband would really have loved a burger or schnitzel on the menu as he enjoys the simpler things but we didn’t actually ask for this option so it may well have been granted had we have asked."
ZillergrundRock Luxury Mountain Resort ★★★★
"My husband and I had a great time at Zillergrund for our babymoon. Coming from the US, we definitely felt like a minority amongst other European, and predominantly German-speaking, visitors. But about 80% of the staff spoke English, especially where it mattered most, like with our server. One of the cool things about Zillergrund is that they give you an assigned table for all your meals during the stay. The breakfast buffet is great, and the multi course dinner was never lacking! It was fun to try new and different things. They offer a good amount of variety, including some local and international dishes. Our table was in an incredibly charming nook of the restaurant which was great, since much of the hotel is modern. I enjoyed having a bit of Austrian mountain charm. Our server, Antonio, was great. We did a 6-mile winter hike which was rigorous, but managed even while being 26 weeks pregnant. We also enjoyed yin yoga. The spa is also truly enjoyable and a great place to just unwind, relax, and take in the Mountain Views. And the rooms! So spacious. Nicely appointed. Larger than I ever would have expected for European standards — or any standards! We were in the Zirbe premium suite. Equal parts charming and nicely updated. Last but not least, the pool. We loved the heated outdoor pool for winter. This was a must for me, as I couldn’t do hot tubs or saunas while pregnant. We enjoyed a floating board which included fruit and desserts, Prosecco for my husband and a smoothie for me. Very special! You can tell Zillergrund is a diamond in the rough. It maintains its family-run attention to detail while choosing to modernize more than other hotels in the area. It really is in a league of its own. Overall, would highly recommend. We look forward to coming back with friends or family for a future stay."
Huber's Boutique Hotel ★★★★
"Lovely hotel in Mayrhofen! Spacious and comfortable room with a large bathroom and great shower, excellent breakfast, super nice spa and pool. The staff were extremely kind and very helpful. Perfect location, just a short walk from the lively town center with many shops and restaurants. Highly recommended!"
