"Have to put a scanning system to the guest security,Zero at present,They don’t answer when asked,Hotel or the company AitkinSpence is only after your money,This is from my personal experience,After staying there during the Arugambai terrorist threat and the US,UK and few other countries issued a warning to their citizens,We are from the UK,We were concerned about it they just ignored us,Anyone could have carried explosive inside,Because none of my luggage was scanned.I have asked the hotel and the company for an explanation still no answer, my stay was on 23rd to 25th of oct 2024,,I would tell anyone wants to stay here to check this first.I am attaching few pictures of concern,I did warn them that If there is no response from them my review will be the truth,Still they are not bothered,I have more to write but I will stop here."

"Great place to stay if you want to explore the lions rock and the area around. Pidurangala rock is only 15min away by tuk tuk, the lions rock can be done by walk (~20min walk to entrance). But the best experience was the kindness of the hosts. The helped us in every way (explaining routes, advices on activities, organizing tuk tuk, etc.). The food was amazing and we had a lot of interesting conversations with the friendly stuff. Special thanks to Daushna, Larush & Nimal for making our stay remarkable."

The food was flawlessly delicious truly by the chef and special the seafood platter was over the moon.an inclusion of a pastry chef would be handy for the main chef . Our special gratitude to Mr kasun the butler who is always on his toes in fulfillment any requirement with a warm smile and care . All our needs were taken care and guaranteed by Mr Sydney the Manager with immense confidence and support. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable which makes the most difficult to get out of the bed rather indulge in the luxury of comfort.the room had all necessary amenities. The pool was clean and had privacy to relax and calm oneself. Adding a Billiard will be big plus in keep the guest entertained in cozy climate. The property has a wonderful atmosphere and views in nature’s harmony at epitome. Surely we had a memorable stay ."

"Our stay at Fresco Water Villa was very disappointing. The room had a lot of mosquitoes and insects, which made it very uncomfortable to stay in. The condition of the room was poor, and the furniture was old, damaged, and not properly usable. The food was another major disappointment. There were almost no vegetarian options available, and the quality was so poor that we chose not to eat there at all. Overall, the hotel did not meet our expectations, and I would not recommend it based on our experience."

"A month at this hotel was a true fairy tale for us! We felt right at home thanks to the incredibly friendly and kind family who took care of us from the very first moment. They were also ready to help with literally everything! When we mentioned that we wanted to cook for ourselves and were looking for accommodation with a kitchen, they simply... built us a kitchen! It was incredible! We couldn't imagine that people could be so responsive. We were often treated to incredibly delicious, generous meals. Breakfasts are a special treat here: always plenty of food, fresh ingredients, and everything is incredibly delicious. You can also rent their bicycles to explore the amazing Sigiriya. It was amazing! Riding along picturesque trails amidst the wild nature was a dream! Even within the hotel grounds, you can feel a connection with nature: colorful birds sing their melodies, squirrels dart through the palm trees, and monitor lizards leisurely wander through the bushes – true harmony with nature. We left with a heavy heart, as this place became our home for a whole month. We recommend it to anyone seeking warm hospitality, comfort, and a connection with nature. Don't hesitate – this hotel is definitely worth your consideration!"
