"This hotel oozes history. It has timeless charm and feels like you are stepping back in time. The staff are so friendly and will do anything to help. The rooms have beautiful simple yet stunning decor. It's the sort of place you want to start writing a book. The gardens create a tranquil atmosphere. Our delicious breakfast was only disturbed by monkeys also wanting our banana. (top tip - ask for the soft pillows on the bed) Also the gift shop is particularly good and the crafts are embedded throughout the hotel."

"The restaurant next to the Hotel serves very good dishes. The chef is very good. He enthusiastically prepared an elaborate local meal for us! We had the room at the rooftop. It is big, the rooftop is your balcony and the view is nice"

"The mattress was terrible.... probably overused with a big dent in the middle. The sockets were a trick to maneuver. The restaurant closes very early and the tv channels to watch were non-existent for the night we spent there. But the ambience was quiet all in all"

We had a triple room with excellent hot water and perfect nets - these rooms also have a small terrace with a table. Worth paying a few $ more for the space and facilities. Food service was slow and food generally disappointing. All the staff were lovely."
