"Overall, Hotel Habakuk is a good hotel with one major downside. The reception staff gave me a warm welcome and were genuinely friendly. The room was a pleasant surprise: clean, comfortable, and offering excellent value for money. The swimming pool is spacious and well organized. Unfortunately, the dinner buffet was a huge disappointment. The restaurant staff were unfriendly, and within two minutes of sitting down I was already asked whether I wanted to pay by card or cash. At €30 per person (excluding drinks), I expected much more. The buffet seems to be mainly focused on the international sports teams staying at the hotel. The selection was very limited, the food was lukewarm, and the overall experience simply wasn't worth the price. I would happily stay at Hotel Habakuk again, but I would definitely skip the dinner buffet."

"This hotel is very nice. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and clean. The shower floor is a bit slippery so be careful. The AC worked good and was set at 22C. You can buy soft drinks and beer and wine at the front desk. The staff was very friendly! They have private parking with some covered parking spaces. Hotel has an elevator. The breakfast buffet was very good and well stocked with a variety of items. The carpet was a bit older in the rooms but was very clean. All in all a great place to stay in Maribor!! Would be glad to stay here again anytime. It is also close to The Q restaurant two blocks away which was very good."

Helena, ( owner ) was so nice and accommodating and even went out and bought a universal adapter because we had lost ours! Breakfast was exceptional and the rooms were very comfortable. We had travelled 2 weeks in Austria and Slovenia and Hotel Bajt was top of our list. The Value is excellent and I will not hesitate to refer this spot or stay again!"

The B and B was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to emails as I was setting up reservations. The breakfast was healthy and ready for us when we came downstairs. Our rooms were spacious, and allowed us to relax and recover from a long days adventure. We arrived by train, and was an easy walk once we headed towards the river."

"The hotel is very clean, the staff was very nice. Great location. There was a big rush at breakfast because several African teams were staying at the hotel, there was a long queue for the only coffee machine and for the food. We constantly smelled chemicals in the room, which came from the ventilation system. The room (Junoir suite) was advertised as having a view of the city and the mountains. In fact, we could admire a terrible concrete rubble, which was the ruins of a beach that had been there for decades."

"We found ourselves in Maribor when flooding in Slovenia meant we couldn’t make it to Ljubljana. Our plans were scuppered, but we were able to make the best of it at the hotel. After a very warm welcome we stayed in one of the garden rooms, and ate a great dinner at La Pizzeria. Breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed our unplanned stay in Maribor. The hotel is beautiful and clean, with lovely toiletries in the bathroom. We won’t forget our unplanned overnight in Maribor, in large part to the lovely stay we had with Hotel Maribor."

"Beware - Shower produces scalding, burning hot water. The hotel cannot supply water to the showers constantly at the correct temperature. Suddenly the water goes very hot, all by itself, for a few seconds. Because of this, it is impossible to have a relaxed shower. I was told by the staff that the "hotel is trying to fix the issue" but this might simply mean the hotel needs to spend money on modernising the water temperature controls The fittings in my room were also outdated, and the telephone didn't seem to work Apart from this the hotel is OK. The breakfast is pretty decent"

"The hotel location is not that nice because it is really hidden inside the small town. However, the environment was like in a middle of nature, the rooms were big, clean, modern and neat!!! And the there is no elevator on this hotel. However, the maximum is 3rd floor and also the ground staffs are willing to help you to bring them to your room, it couldn't be that big trouble. Over all, I think this hotel is remarkable and honestly, I want to return back to this hotel."
