Grot Hotel ★★★
"If you need a one night stop for parkrun then this is a good option for avoiding the stress of making your way from Gdansk early on a Saturday morning. A five minute walk from the station and about fifteen minutes from the castle and the start line. The midday checkout and bag storage also works well if you want to shower and then stay for the day to visit the castle. Friendly staff and free tea/coffee in reception. A fridge and a hairdryer in the room. Beds a little hard and the pillows a little flat but a perfectly okay room and decent ensuite bathroom for about £40-45 per night. The road outside was a bit loud but I slept okay."

Majewski Hotel & Spa ★★★
"The hotel is tucked away in a strange alley. The unventilated corridors reek of old trains. The rooms are dominated by the stench of dirt - several days‑worn socks and leftover cigarette smoke. Beneath a plastic cover under the sheet lie urinated, foul‑smelling mattresses. The beds are sagging, and it’s scary to lie down on them, even though the bedding appears clean at first glance. I was utterly embarrassed to have booked this “hotel” for myself and friends fammily I didn’t even go near the swimming pool b'cause I was afraid. The breakfast was barely passable: instant coffee, no scrambled eggs but only sausages served either fried or boiled. I do not recommend it. The price is utterly disproportionate to the quality, which seems mentally and technically stuck in 1989. It is far sub-standart for modern Poland."

Premium - Bed & Breakfast ★★
"The hotel is situated next to the castle and the city centre so the location is excellent. The rooms are old fashioned by design and ok to stay in. Fresh bathrooms too. The downside is the spotty wi-fi, the strong smell of something perfume-like cleaning substance (perhaps). Didn't try the breakfast but travelling companions did and liked it. Paid public parking outside across the road with free hours from 1700-0800 if I remember correctly. The street outside is a bit noisy but not overly so. A good working AC in the room as well with a good capacity to cool down the room fast. A bit noisy however."
