"Stayed one night.been here before. Live locally. Good location evening meal good. Breakfast good. Reasonable rates Friendly staff. One issue .ROOM 3. very clean and tidy. Sadly directly above the room was the the central heating boiler. Was on when we got there at 5pm didn't seem too bad noise wise then we assumed it would go off at some stage. But stayed on and we had to put up with the noise all night when everything was quiet. The noise was far more pronounced. We got very little sleep management must be aware. ? Let our stay down somewhat.."

"Stayed here with a friend last weekend and could not fault anything about my stay . The location is amazing with so many nearby places and things to do . The rooms were very well appointed and clean and comfortable, had a great night's sleep ! The bar also offered a great selection of beer and the Sunday carvery was great ! Friendly staff great food and drink and a good night's sleep , will definitely be back ."

"We stayed at The Lookout for two nights, just around the corner from the Halfway House Inn and can honestly say that our experience can't be faulted. The accommodation was spotless, warm and welcoming and the view across the open bay was awesome. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I wasn't sure about eating at the pub being a celiac, but to my relief there were plenty gluten free choices so we ate there on both nights. The food was varied, fresh and delicious. The pub has a great relaxed atmosphere and is clearly well liked by the locals - always a good sign! We hope to return again soon :)"

"We stayed at Edgcumbe Arms in May for a friends' wedding. We were one of the first few bookings since re-opening under new management, and despite joking 'it might be like Fawlty Towers', our stay could not have been better! Dan and the team were fantastic and could not do enough for us, and we were so thankful they could honour our booking from previous owners! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a lovely view overlooking the River Tamer and onto Plymouth and Royal William Yard. The room rate included a delicious breakfast, made to order, and with all the trimmings! Edgcumbe Arms is perfectly located next to the foot ferry port for regular and easy access into the centre of Plymouth, and right next door to the idyllic Mount Edgcumbe estate. The downstairs restaurant and bar has a cosy feel with comfy armchairs and original features, and offers plenty of outdoor seating for when the sun is shining! There is also onsite parking for guests, and the team were gracious enough to let us leave our car after check out to explore the estate next door. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family who might be visiting the area in the near future! :)"
