"We chose to take our visiting friends to the Edgecumbe, now it's so much better under the new management. We didn't regret it at all. Service was really good; attentive, buf not intrusive. The food was really tasty from a varied menu. A very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you."

"We stayed at The Lookout for two nights, just around the corner from the Halfway House Inn and can honestly say that our experience can't be faulted. The accommodation was spotless, warm and welcoming and the view across the open bay was awesome. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I wasn't sure about eating at the pub being a celiac, but to my relief there were plenty gluten free choices so we ate there on both nights. The food was varied, fresh and delicious. The pub has a great relaxed atmosphere and is clearly well liked by the locals - always a good sign! We hope to return again soon :)"
