"Delightful old fashioned pub overlooking Plymouth across the water. Very welcoming staff - they kept the kitchen open for me when traffic delayed me. The fish and chips was very good. Bedroom overlooked the water and Plymouth and was comfortable though the bed was hard and the bathroom tiny but functional. Its a bit of a hike round by road but ferry to Plymouth takes 8 minutes. Great place but difficult to justify the price"

"Great little hotel for the price . Fantastic welcome and introduction. First time I’ve had shower operation explained to me! Staff seemed well motivated and keen to please . Room was well equipped and pleasantly decorated and furnished. Personally I’d make the decor more coastal/ seaside to give it some personality! Bathroom was spacious and importantly it had a bath! The towels however were poor - small and thin. Breakfast was good but no fruit . Some might find it late - starts at 9. It doesn’t have a car park but council car park adjacent at £5 per day . Overall though a great pub accommodation."
