Toyoko Inn Maibara Eki Shinkansen Nishi Guchi ★★★
"Breakfast was good!! we had a good time."
Guesthouse Izame Ann ★★
"We spent two nights at the guesthouse. It's a traditional house with a spacious room. The shared bathrooms were clean and well-equipped (soap, shampoo, hairdryer, etc.). Our host was very kind, and although he didn't speak English, we were able to communicate without any problems. We had dinner there both evenings; the meals were delicious, mainly featuring fish that the owner catches himself. Our stay was perfect, and we highly recommend this guesthouse in a quiet and pleasant village."
Guesthouse Meguruya ★★
"This time, they booked a room, but they contacted me immediately and prepared a space for four people in a fully renovated traditional Japanese house, just for me. 😭 It was only a little over 5,000 yen. I was just happy to be able to sleep, so I felt bad. Next time, I'd like to stay at this inn with friends at the regular price. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. ☺️"
GLAMP ELEMENT ★★★★
"I was delighted to stay in such a beautiful place with my two dogs. The overall environment was lovely and quiet, and the dogs had a wonderful time playing on the house's own dog run. Dinner and breakfast were prepared on-site by the staff; the ingredients were fresh, and the portions were generous—we were truly satisfied. However, while the overall experience was excellent, I have two small suggestions for improvement in service quality. 1️⃣ Regarding communication about check-in time: The hotel's check-in time is listed as 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, so arriving before 7:00 PM is considered normal. Being asked "approximately what time you will arrive" before check-in time felt a little rushed. Since the hotel has set a check-in time range, the food and beverage and reception departments could perhaps prepare accordingly in advance. 2️⃣ Regarding the check-out service: The staff were very welcoming upon check-in, proactively helping with luggage as soon as the car stopped, making a very good first impression. However, in contrast, there was almost no assistance during check-out. They didn't even ask if we needed help with our luggage. Because some rooms are quite far from the reception, I saw some elderly guests having to walk around with a lot of luggage to check out. Personally, I believe a truly excellent hotel is not only warm and welcoming during check-in, but also maintains the same meticulousness and attentiveness during check-out. The feeling guests have when they leave is often the final impression of their entire stay. The above is not intended to offend anyone; it simply represents my honest feelings during my stay. I sincerely hope the hotel will continue to improve its service details in the future, and not let such an excellent environment and facilities be affected by minor service shortcomings. Finally, I forgot some items when checking out. Thank you to the hotel for calling to inform me. I will definitely stay here again, and I hope you will take care of me then."
Green Park Santo ★★
"Great accommodation choice at Oibuki Ski Resort! It's not too far from the city center and very convenient. There's parking available right outside if you're driving, so no worries. The hotel even helped return my forgotten hat! I'm so grateful! The onsen (hot spring bath) is also very relaxing! Overall, it's fantastic!"
