The breakfast spread is quite good for an American hotel, and you can even make your own waffles. The heating in the room works really well, so I slept soundly and woke up feeling refreshed. Overall, it's a pretty standard hotel – don't expect anything special, but its biggest value lies in ensuring you get a good rest so you can enjoy Yosemite's scenery the next day."

"Not far from the south entrance of Yosemite National Park, there's a row of houses along the road, with one or two more rows following the hillside. Although the rooms aren't large, they have heating and hot water, making them quite comfortable and suitable for overnight stays. This would be convenient for visiting Sequoia National Park the next day. We drove an hour from the valley to get here in the evening, and when we set off at 9 am the next day, we were surprised to find ourselves queuing for two hours just to get into the south entrance. I recommend leaving early; the staff queuing for park entry is very organized. We valued our time, and after visiting the Sequoias and Glacier Point, we didn't get back to San Francisco until 11:30 pm. If we had arrived earlier, we would have greatly reduced the risk of traffic accidents."
