"unfortunately disappointed by the fact that the roof wasnt all clear. almost half were covered with snow and when asked, the reception said that the roof could be malfunctioning so nothing could be done. it really ruins the vibe considering the major reason we chose the place was for a clear night sky view"

"Good gym facilities for those not using Ski service. Take-away breakfast was provided when we had to catch the 6am bus 100 to City for an event. Location is not convenient for public transport since there is only 6 buses per day where last bus is at 9pm."

"Ski-Inn Pyhälinna apartments have the best possible location. I stayed three nights in Pyhälinna 33 Studio apartment. Both the ski slope (now closed because of summertime of course) and Pyhä Disc Golf Park were situated just under my window. Trails to Pyhä-Luosto National Park start between Pyhälinna apartment buildings A and C. Some good restaurants are located next to Pyhälinna. Pyhä-Luosto Visitor Center Naava and a grocery store are situated one kilometer from these apartments. A bus stop (buses to/from Luosto, Kemijärvi and Rovaniemi) is situated almost next to Pyhälinna. There isn't any reception desk in Pyhälinna. Normally some services are available in a nearby hotel (a gym, saunas) but it was closed at the moment. There is a number lock in every apartment and I got the code via SMS in the morning of the arrival day. Check-in time is quite late, at 6 pm. However, I asked the customer service by phone (after I had got the code) if I could go in earlier and I got a permission to go in as early as 11 am without any extra cost. If I had booked early check-in earlier, the price would have been as much as one extra night. Customer service was extremely kind and quick as I contacted them by phone and by e-mail. Very good performance, much better than usual customer service! When I arrived next to the apartment building I was wondering if it is closed. There were ropes in front of all corridors. I found out that they are because of reindeer. The ropes prevent reindeer coming in the corridor. These new apartments are privately owned but they are booked to tourists through a company. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included in the price but you have to wash dishes and take the trash (including bottles) yourself. I had a very modern and stylish corner apartment with a bathroom, an own electric sauna, a kitchenette including tableware and a dishwasher, a fireplace with firewood and an electric drying cabinet for wet clothes. A shared washing machine was situated in a separate building as well as a ski maintenance area. An own locked ski locker was located in the corridor but I didn't need it now because it is a summer. Actually there was heatwave outside and the apartment was quite hot but tolerable. I have nothing to complain. I could come here again."

"We'd used the sister apartments of the Ski-Inn Pyha Suites accommodation in Ruka resort, so we kind of knew what to expect, in terms of room configuration, standards and comfort. We'd never been to Pyha resort before, but we had a great week there. The rooms are very simply furnished in the typical 'scandi' style, but they are clean and very comfortable. You have your own sauna, which can take a little effort to get it working, but it's great after a day out in the cold on the slopes. There is also a drying cabinet where you can put your gear overnight to dry out and be lovely and warm in the morning when you go out again. The apartments are well equipped, with a dishwasher, coffee maker, oven, 4 ring hob and toaster. It's here where there is an important traveller tip to share and for future customers of Ski-Inn Pyha Suites to consider when booking. We enjoy self-catering when on holiday and, especially in Finland, eating out can be VERY expensive if you're doing it every night. However, customers need to be aware that Ski-Inn Pyha Suites employs a very strict [and IMO unusual] policy when it comes to the smoke alarm in the apartments. If, for some reason, you happen to accidentally trigger the alarm whilst cooking in the apartment and the fire service is called out [as they invariably will be], then Ski-Inn Pyha Suites will expect you as the customer to pay 990 Euros to cover the cost of the call out. They will invoice you accordingly. There are rules on their website relating to "nuisance calls", but these seem to relate more to malicious triggering of the smoke alarm; e.g smoking or vaping in the room, waxing of skis or snowboards. No mention of using the provided equipment to cook a meal. Sadly this happened to us and we received an invoice from Ski-Inn Pyha Suites 4 days after returning from holiday, which we have since been fighting with them to get cancelled. Which it now has, thankfully. However the whole experience has somewhat soured what was, otherwise a really great holiday. We would also have to seriously reconsider whether we book again at Ski-Inn Pyha or Ruka suites [they have the same policy]."

"We had a great rest for 3 nights in this hotel. We booked a house with a fireplace and a sauna to enjoy the silence. Houses are not newly built but comfortable and comfortable, are all necessary for a few days of stay. Breakfasts are delicious, fresh. The staff is friendly and kind. If there was a chance to visit LaPlante, I would have booked this hotel without thinking. That's a great hotel!"

"The room is good but there is no elevator, we had lower floor room so it’s quite trouble for all of us to carry big luggages down to the room. Restaurant at hotel is nice but long waiting time for the orders."

Ski-Inn Kultakero ★★★★
"I booked this hotel through Crystal ski holidays as I wanted something central in Pyhä. On arrival I checked in at the Pyhätunturi hotel opposite and was given room 208b on the first floor of the second block (nearest to the pyhatunturi hotel). You can see from the outside that it is a new and modern set up with another A block slightly closer to the slopes. I had a room with a French balcony overlooking the main car park and saw some beautiful sunrises and sets from my room. There was a large drying cabinet for clothing but no ski storage - something to keep in mind if you are taking skis as you have to store them in your room. There is a lift to all floors and the pyha store on the ground floor with ski rental below. My room had 2 single beds together and plenty of storage space. The bathroom was fabulous with a lovely enclosed and powerful walk in shower. The hot water was endless and it was a delight to use. There was a frosted screen covering the toilet then a large window into the main bedroom but this had a blind. The beds were fairly comfortable and it was all very clean. I didn’t have any room cleaning during my 1 weeks stay but bin bags are provided. I did have to ask for a fan as the air con units are turned off for winter and you can’t cool the room, which maintained around 22 degrees. Too warm for me. It was only a short walk across the the car park for breakfast and dinner but choice was very limited, especially for a veggie like me. We had oddly mild weather during my stay and it rained several times making the car park a skating rink. I had 2 falls and did injure myself. The grounds team did our grit down and some fresh snow made it much better. I was fortunate to see the northern lights several times during my stay but found the long slog down to the supermarket a bit much. Going down is ok but it’s a fairly steep hill in parts coming back up so I only went the once. There is a small supermarket in the pyhatunturi hotel opposite and they have a tazza machine. What I saw of the slopes was good. You either ski out from near A block onto a fairly steep red or there is another red that is more gentle just a bit further on the you can also walk across the carport and over the road to a green run and the family slopes. It’s not ski in or out. A button lift brings you back up to the side of A block so it’s easy enough. I really enjoyed pyha and would stay at this hotel again as I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the accommodation. It was fairly high end accommodation and the staff are super helpful if you need anything. My only negative was the dangerous car park but that didn’t spoil my stay."

"We love these apartments! Stayed Jan 2023 & 2024! Recommended to all our friends and family who have also visited this year! Perfect location next to the slopes, beautiful views. Well stocked, cosy fire. Amazing sauna and dryer for ski clothes. Locker for equipment outside. Everything you can wish for. Kind and friendly staff everywhere. Yes the main shop for groceries is at the bottom of the hill, but if you’re prepared you only need to do it once, there is a little convenience store at the top to restock milk etc. Lucky enough to see the Northern lights this year. We’ll be visiting again next Jan for sure! "

Ski-Inn PyhäSuites ★★★
"This is our second visit to Pyhä and strangely we were allocated the same apartment as last year. But this time self catering. With lessons learnt from last year we went straight to the restaurant for dinner. The apartment was clean and tidy but a few things do need a little attention since we visited last. The light switch in the toilet didn't always work and needed a firm touch to turn the light on, one of the spot lights in the kitchen area needs replacing, and the top draw front was falling apart. The welcome folder that was here last year was no where to be seen, instead only the same information that we'd been given by our Crystal rep was left from at least 2 previous occupiers. Again no instructions on how to operate the sauna, but my son did an Internet search this time and got it working. The button above the cooker, we thought last year couldn't possibly be for the sauna, is in fact the extractor fan but again no instruction to tell you this. So this year the sauna was in full use and perfect. The only other negative was one of the families on the same floor thought it ok for their 4 children to use the corridor as a play area because it was far too cold to play outside, so we had running up and down screaming and trying to get into other apartments including ours from the sound of the keypad, this went on for 45mins until we went out and they were politely asked to stop. Despite the niggles the apartment is clean, warm and comfortable beds, the slopes are 2 mins away and a perfect base for a week skiing/snowboarding."
