"The room was dated but clean and spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel felt like you were staying in his house and was felt like we were an inconvenience to him. We got told off for taking alittle sand into the hotel ( ridiculous) and told to make sure we clean our shoes before we go in. Breakfast was nice. It was a shame he wasn’t there to welcome you as we had never been to the area and did not know where to eat and we thought his restaurant would be open but it wasn’t. The write made the hotel look a lot nicer than what it actually was. The hotel was ok but not great. I. Would not recommend this to families as I feel he doesn’t like people making the slightest mess of his house."

"We had high expectations based on all the reviews. Service was not great. It took ages to get to pay at the end. The food was disappointing. The fish dish was overpowered with a strong sauce. A slow cooked pork dish had tender meat but the sauce tasted over reduced and overcooked."
