"The hotel is not on sea front, but is only a few minutes walk to the beach. The rooms all over look the lovely swimming pool and well maintained gardens, there are ample comfortable sun beds, and a great pool bar serving food and drinks. The rooms are clean and comfortable and very quiet. The staff are fantastic, and can’t do enough to make you happy. The dining area is spacious and serves a good variety of food. Overall a excellent hotel and good value for money."

"We had an overall great stay at the hotel. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. There were plenty of activities for the whole family, and we especially want to thank the activity team. They were enthusiastic, professional, and made the experience fun for both children and adults. The only disappointment was the food. We found it quite repetitive and lacking in variety and flavor. Another issue was the drinking water and beverages served at the hotel. Everything tasted strongly of chlorine, which made it difficult to enjoy. We ended up buying bottled water and soft drinks from the local shop throughout our stay because we couldn’t drink the water provided by the hotel. Despite these issues, we had a pleasant vacation thanks to the wonderful staff and the excellent family activities."

Cala Millor Garden Hotel - Adults Only

"This review will appear somewhat contradictory. Some parts of the holiday were great, other bits let it down. The town and the beach were beautiful and clean, the sea was warm and there were lots of great places to eat and drink in both Cala Millor and Cala Bona which was a 15 minute walk away. I would recommend the area to anyone but not necessarily the Garden Hotel. My wife and I have booked and enjoyed many all-inclusive holidays with Jet2. We have been to the Canaries and Greece but this was our first holiday together in The Balearics. Cala Millor Gardens is our worst experience and it really didn't need to be. This really is a first world problem and I feel the hypocrisy of moaning that my vacation wasn't quite perfect boo hoo!! The staff were brilliant and are unfortunate to be even mentioned in this review. This is the first time my wife and I chose to venture into the heady world of upgrading to the premium service (at this hotel that is called 'select') It was a waste of money, and quite uncomfortable at times. It offered nothing that the other all-inclusive guests recieved except towels really. The reserved area within the restaurant did offer table cloths and napkins, but we shared the same lukewarm food that was often not refilled and therefore not available. Breakfast was the best meal of the day but is not to be described as good. If you want a coffee after your evening meal you needed to leave the restaurant and bring it back in as the machines were unplugged. If you used the restaurant for lunch rather than the pool bar you needed to ensure you gave yourself enough time because the stood guard to deny drink refills toward 14:30 and turned the lights off and cleared the food. Food at the pool bar was available from one hour after breakfast at 11am but only until 1pm. There was only 5 things available on the all-inclusive menu and the quality was poor. Much better quality food was available outside of these restrictions but needed to be purchased. One example of this was caesar salad, all-inclusive was leaves and Parmesan, if you wanted chicken this was €14 extra. The rooms were very small, tired, and only offered 1 hanging rail and one drawer. So you need to live out of your suitcase. The bathroom was good. Around the pool there are only 2 unisex toilets for approximately 300 guests and these quickly became dirty. Two further single sex toilets available in reception. The entertainment staff were the best part of the hotel (Aly and Cassie) but the external evening entertainment was mediocre. The was a 'selected' area that was behind a rope in reception. This can best be described as being like the bit you sit in waiting to be seen at Specsavers. So all-in-all the resort/town is great. However I can not in good conscience tell you that the Garden hotel is the place to go. It could be good if some policy and managerial decisions were made."

"Nice hotel, bit dated and bathroom lacked a good scrub but was spacious and beds comfy. Pillows not to my personal liking but thats ok. Had an old adjoining room so we heard everything from the room next door, sneezing, talking and snoring! Agh. Balcony huge and facing the mountains which was lovely and we had the sun in afternoon. Food, only had breakfast but they catered well for Gluten free. Had their own station, schar products such as bread, muffins and cereal in packets. Good selection of just about everything else, hot buffet and cold meats cheeses etc. the fruit was delicious and of course drinks both hot and cold. Close to all you needed, gorgeous scenery and restaurants all catering for Gluten free too. Sangria was the best!"
