"This place needs help & SERIOUS improvements. Several electrical cords plugged into one surge protector. Dirty bathtub. Worst of all a dangerous bathroom. I took a shower the morning I was departing. The water wasn’t coming fully out of the shower head so I pulled the plunger up to have all the water divert to the shower head instead of tub. It instantly broke off in my hand with all the water gushing directly out of the wall. I slipped and fell in the excitement. After my husband helped me out of the tub, I dried off and within 20 minutes upon checkout reported it to the woman at the front desk. I asked for a refund. She said no because I spent the night there. And, she said someone stayed there for 3 months and never had a problem. She implied I broke the tub faucet! Clearly it had been problematic before because it looked like it was caulked over previously corroded, rotted metal. She said I should have told her and she’d give me a new room. I asked for a refund again and she went to get her “husband.” He came out adamant about not giving me a refund. He said implied I broke the faucet too! He said I should have told them right away. Anyway, I stormed out frustrated. At anytime they never even apologized or asked if I was ok. They were rude and unprofessional."

"Hometown Inn by Oyo was by far the worst motel we’ve stayed in. Ever. Upon check in, the woman informed me that I booked for only one guest, and there were two of us, so there was an additional charge. Fine. My mistake. there was another fee which she didn’t explain well and I asked about it and she snapped back very rudely that she was offended that I don’t trust her, etc. i apologized for sounding like I didn’t trust her, but just like to know what I’m paying for, and could I get a receipt, especially since she took cash for the additional $17. She met us at the room and turned on the heat to highest temp 84, gave me the remote and said after it warms up, just set it where we were comfortable. Her rudeness was very unsettling. Heater on the wall never did warm up. Freezing all night doesn’t provide a good night’s sleep. I tried calling for an extra blanket, but no answer. Tried to walk to lobby but all lights in halls were turned off and pitch black. We had to sleep in socks and sweatshirts. The hand towel was worn with holes! I could go on and on. Never did get receipt. I wish I would have booked through Travelocity! I would recommend not including this hotel in your offerings."

"This is definitely a 2 star motel or less. For starters, they do not provide any type of streaming or cable tv. Must use GuestCasttv.com from your phone, tablet or laptop in order for the tv to work. They do not provide any type of maid service during your stay. When you want new towels you have to go down to the office and exchange them for fresh towels. Our front entrance door was rather old/worn and from inside the room you could see outside daylight via a large vertical crack between the door and framing. The motel is located right next to a busy 4 lane street in which you hear all the different vehicles driving by all day/night long. You can even here people speaking right outside in the parking lot. The enclosed bathroom (commode/shower) is small. The shower head in our room has been dripping/splattering for so long the bottom drywall is partially missing. The bathroom sink was also leaking in which I reported both leaks to the person at the counter. The room has a wooden floor which is good for those who have pets. You are required to pay an additional $25.00 per day to park in their own parking lot right in front of your door. Each parking space (marked with white lines) is extremely small in width so be prepared for door dings. Approximately 400 yards down the road are multiple government housing projects everywhere. I walked approx 100 yards to a food mart to purchase bottled water and felt like I required a body guard or weapon for protection. What a nightmare this place was for both myself and my companion. I would not recommend this place to anyone."

"It is impossible to explain how impressed we are after spending a night in motel. Checking in was extra special because I have horrible allergies. The checkin staff went out of their way. The room was spotless nice sized room with a wonderful clean well maintained bathroom. It was so quiet and comfortable I hated to leave. In fact our stay was a week ago and we will be staying there on our way home. I have stayed in high priced luxury motel/hotels that could not compare to this nice quiet clean comfortable motel."
