"Nice enough hotel. AC rooms which is a blessing when you're returning from the Amazon, a nice restaurant, excellent breakfast, and extremely friendly staff. The hotel itself is pretty basic so don't expect frills of any sort. The wifi is terrible, you have to move around in the lounge area (no AC, happy mozzies!) to find the best signal. I would give it 3 stars but the staff is so friendly and helpful (a special shout out to the restaurant manager at breakfast) and the fact that there is WiFi at all ups this to a more deserving 4 stars! Will definitely stay here if I'm ever in Leticia again."

"We were told that the only air conditioned room was a very small room with one full-sized bed that was so hard that it was like sleeping on the floor and one twin bed which was creaky but softer. There is NO hot water tap in the room (sink or shower) so, cool showers for a week. No place in the room to unpack, no drawers no place to hang anything, one shelf about 1'x2'. Only two outlets, one of which was occupied by the TV and fan plugs. Four levels, but no elevator. In the middle of town on a very noisey street. The window to the hallway and the window in the bathroom both had about an 8" space at the top open to outside, so the A/C was struggled against a flow-through of warm air. WiFi was very weak and slow. The staff were helpful and pleasant."

"The hotel is nice, but they don't allow you to buy tour services outside the hotel. They charge 10,000 for 6 hours of internet. They have signal inhibitors. It is not possible to go to Leticia to buy tours, you have to stick to theirs. And they are tours with 150 people. Very bad service."

"Leticia is a great place to stay to explore the Amazon area. Its easy to get to from Bogota and there are some good restaurants. We did one of the standard tours and one day exploring deeper into the jungle on our own, arranged with a captain we new through the hotel. The hotel was very good overall. Its in a good location in Leticia, with easy access to the airport and restaurants. The breakfasts were good and the room was comfortable. We didnt have time to use the pool but we saw others using it and it looked good. The only problem we had was with an aggressive tour guide who would hang out at the hotel try to find tourists to reserve his tours. We saw him being very rude to one of the hotel staff and we decided to make a compliant becuase of what we witnessed"

Waira Suites ★★★★
"If you're visiting Leticia, I highly recommend this hotel. It's quite good for the area in terms of hygiene and facilities. The staff are friendly and patient in answering your questions. The tours we booked at the hotel were also available by credit card, and the prices were the same as the online bookings, even better. The owner even took us to the meeting point. Also, let me tell you about the white Labrador. He followed us whenever we left the hotel at night, barking at people dressed in rags and even helping to keep other dogs away. He would also wait quietly while we bought things. We ate two dinners at the hotel; the prices were similar to eating out, but the food was excellent."

BATARA Apartahotel Boutique - BHB ★★★
"The price was cheap, it had a kitchen and clothes racks—the first time I'd seen this in two months of travel. The service was good, breakfast was served but it was rather basic, there was no hot water, and air conditioning required an extra charge."

"A modern hotel with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had. The breakfast was basic eggs and coffee with a plate of fruit. On the downside there was no toiletries provided in the room and they needed constant reminders to provide towels. For a night after an Amazon jungle tour it is okay and annoyingly you must hand key to reception when you leave even if popping across road to the shop"

Eco Hotel El Refugio Boutique ★★
"Adventurous mom traveling with 2 children (10 & 12). We are a Latin-American family. + PROS: Great room options for different budgets and needs. While it IS a hotel that focuses on being conscious of the environment, the accommodations are comfortable, the bedding is soft, the AC potent and not too loud and there is everything that you would find at a regular hotel. + Jhuliana and her darling mother are a power-team of hospitality. The are present, kind, welcoming, and ready to help you and your family/travel group have a great experience in the Amazon. They are locals and live in the hotel so they know the area, the people and know what to watch out for as well. I was very impressed that Leticia is a safe city but also super impressed that Jhuliana would lovingly guide me as to how to stay safer and who to trust openly - especially when it came to transportation and tours (@Amazonasparaviajeros). + Breakfast is plenty. While the variety is not ample, the offering is plenty - eggs to order (I varied from omelets, to tomato and onion scramble, and then pan fried), bread with butter and yummy jelly, juice and coffee and fruit (papaya, orange and banana). They are happy to accommodate your needs within that offering, but don't make them guess what you may need. Just ask with a kind smile and the are glad to see you happy! Plus there is a supermarket down the down with veggies, fruits, cereals and anything else you may want for your needs. + Location. El Refugio is centrally located in Leticia just a few blocks away from everything you need - restaurants, a supermarket called Hiper, pharmacy, shopping for basics that one may have forgotten and even a few places to get a cocktail and cool down. Transportation is easily found. The city is not very big so getting around is easy (even to and from the airport which is less than 10m away by tuk tuk) - CONS: (as in: CONSIDERATIONS) * The central location means that there will be city sounds all around, especially during holidays. So bring earplugs if you are a light-sleeper like myself. (I use foam ones and they work like wonders. Plus, the amazon is not a destination to go relax so with all there is to see, experience and do, one is tired at the end of the night). * Another consideration is the accessibility. While MOST places in Latin America (and the EU) are different than hotels in the US with their elevators and large openings, it is important to know that breakfast is on the 4th floor (nice view) and there is a wooden staircase for the last floor. * The other consideration is that the hotel doesn't have an actual pool; It DOES have a nice tub (on the 3rd floor) but it has to be "rented" for an additional, considerable cost. THIS WAS NOT AN ISSUE!! I took my sweaty self and two teens a few blocks away to Hotel Real Amazonas, paid $15,000 Colombian pesos and enjoyed their big pool and spacious outdoor area until we got tired (they close the pool for non guests at 5:00 pm). Hotel Yurupary Amazonas ★★★
"I was very disappointed with the hotel service. We were in the town and looked for a hotel that we could enjoy after being on our jungle tour. We were shown a spacious room with a king sized bed and lots of space it was perfect. When we returned to the hotel we were given a terrible room on the third door curtain rod fell off when we tried to close the blinds, wifi connection did was poor, very limited space and open window with a bug flying in it. It was nothing like the original room we were shown. I would rate that room 1 out of 5. We asked to be moved one group was allowed to but my husband and I were told there were no other rooms. There was one person who spoke English but he wouldn’t help. I was very dissatisfied with the service. I decided to check online and various rooms were still available. I went back to the front desk and was ignored. Really disrespectful and poor service. We eventually got a room on the first floor. The pool was nice and so was the room. Everyone in are party was tired and just wanted to rest. I would not recommend this hotel the stress and the lack of service was not worth are time. This incident caused our group stress and wasted over an hour of our time. I did not like being lied to there was plenty of rooms available we were only staying one night. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of the 3rd floor room. It was less than 1/2 the size of the 1st floor room and the king size bed barely fit the room."

ApartaHotel Tierras Amazonicas ★★★
"We had an excellent stay at ApartaHotel Tierras Amazonicas! It had everything we needed including Air Conditioning in our room, and some additional nice touches to the place. Also, the owners are very accommodating and friendly! They went out of their way to help pick us up, find a nice restaurant, help us find where we need to go next and drop us off at the time we needed. Highly recommended!"
