Ninh Binh Harmony Retreat, from our experience, can only equate to an oasis of calm, beauty and tranquillity. The grounds are lush and abundant with surprises at every turn. The staff are exceptional, but that is understating their level of service and commitment. They are like Family and become friends in short time. Chi, the manager, goes far above and beyond any level we have experienced in our many travels. Nothing is a problem and solutions are simple, including locating a lost bag in Saigon. The team who Chi guides throughout the day, are friendly, sociable and genuine and they cannot go far enough . They anticipate any need or want before you realise and create moments and memories that you can only wish would happen in other establishments. Chi, Hunee and Tony, along with other staff whose names we sadly did not get, are the soul and heart of Ninh Binh Harmony Retreat. Being in their presence enhanced the experience. They are a total credit to their employer and business. The Retreat is set back off a main road, down an alley full of laughing children and families. You feel completely detached from the hustle and bustle of Tam Coc town or Hoa Loa Old Town, which are must visits. There is a wonderful pool, suitable for families, an 8 ball table, karaoke, bikes and the most incredible breakfast and coffee. We travel extensively and felt a sincere and genuine personal experience that made us feel truly cared for. We cannot recommend choosing Ninh Binh Harmony Retreat highly enough.

I'm a solo backpacker and I'm used to staying in small hostels. Wow, what a difference! It feels so good to be back in comfort! These are very comfortable bungalows. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable, the air conditioning works perfectly, as does the Wi-Fi. The bathroom is spacious and hot water is readily available. There's even a swimming pool. The location is really nice: the hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the Tam Coc pier. This location allows you to be away from the hustle and bustle, in a very peaceful environment surrounded by rice paddies. There's no view directly from the hotel, but the surrounding area is beautiful and pleasant to explore. There are also several restaurants nearby. Breakfast is excellent, prepared on-site with several options to choose from. I particularly recommend the honey pancakes, which were delicious. They are served with fresh fruit and juice. It's also possible to rent scooters or bicycles, as well as book transfers and various activities directly on site. I highly recommend this place, whether you're a solo backpacker looking for a comfortable break, a couple, or a family. The quality-to-comfort ratio is excellent. The family who runs the place is very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the hotel. Our room was exceptionally spacious and comfortable, providing a wonderful retreat. Each morning, we had the pleasure of dining on the delicious breakfast served by the pool. The varied selection, which included both local and Vietnamese specialties, was the perfect way to start our days. The service throughout the hotel was truly excellent. The staff kindly provided us with a local map and offered valuable suggestions for activities, including a boat trip, bird watching, and exploring the Old Town. We particularly appreciated their insightful advice on the best times to visit various venues to avoid crowds and maximize our experiences, such as for optimal bird watching. A highlight was renting a motorbike from the hotel to explore. On one occasion, we found ourselves a little lost, but a quick message via WhatsApp to the hotel resulted in immediate and patient assistance to guide us back on track. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, made memorable by the thoughtful service and excellent amenities. We would not hesitate to return.

I had a wonderful stay at this family owned homestay and it truly felt warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The location might be slightly difficult to find at first, especially if it’s your first time visiting the area, but it’s actually very convenient. There are many businesses that open past midnight: food options, convenience stores, shopping spots, massage places, laundry services, and drinking places nearby. One thing that really stood out to me was how thoughtful they were when I asked for milk during breakfast. Even though they did not have regular milk available, they still made the effort to find an alternative and served me soy milk instead. I was genuinely happy with that gesture because it showed how much they cared about catering to their guests’ needs and making them feel at home. The breakfasts were one of the highlights of my stay. They served a traditional Vietnamese rice noodle dish one morning, and honestly, it was the best one I had during my entire stay in Vietnam. It tasted fresh, authentic, and homemade, which made the experience even more special. Because it is a new establishment, the rooms look and felt much better in person than in the pictures online. Everything was clean, cozy, spacious, and beautifully maintained. Another great feature was that they provided electric-powered bicycles, which made it very convenient and enjoyable to explore the surrounding area. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. The genuine hospitality from the family, the delicious homemade breakfasts, the comfortable rooms, and the thoughtful amenities made this a truly memorable experience. I had a truly wonderful stay at Little Tam Coc Boutique Villa in Ninh Binh. From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality and genuine kindness of the hostess made me feel completely at home. The rooms are beautifully designed with authentic local touches and great attention to detail — charming, stylish, and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh, flavorful dishes that set the perfect tone for the day. The location couldn’t be better: peaceful, scenic, and conveniently close to all the major attractions in Tam Coc and the surrounding area. Overall, this place is one of the best options for anyone wanting to explore the beauty of Ninh Binh. I highly recommend it and would gladly return!

I only stayed one night, but the view was quite impressive, like a miniature Europe.

A great hostel with a girls-only room, a convenient location, and friendly staff. You can also rent a bicycle or a scooter here for the whole day. The downsides: no power outlets by the beds and almost no mirrors in the rooms (just one in the bathroom)

Good place for budget travel. The free breakfast is great with genuine Vietnamese Coffee and Fresh Juice. 10/10 will book again.
