Maybe not located in the city center or by the sea but we love the vibes of this location so much. it was quiet and surrounding by real portland local. Most important only a block away from Tandem Coffee which everyone must try once you are in portland. The living room and bedroom are absolutely fabulous. Grab yourselves a few snack at their snack bar and laying there is great enough.💖💖

A well conceived and thoughtfully decorated hotel paying tribute to the history of the building it calls home: friendly and welcoming staff, nicely appointed rooms with an attention to quality, and a good location in downtown Portland. It would be nice if some sort of coffee and tea service was provided in the room, or at least a hot water kettle; also that the breakfast doesn’t start until 7:30 makes for less flexibility in the morning—though my meal was quite tasty and with expeditious service. I would happily stay here again.

Awesome stay! We would definitely recommend staying in this hotel. Our room is very clean. Service is great. Their restaurant serves delicious breakfast.

Wow, they told us that we were the guests of the day. We celebrated my son's birthday and the added freebies (free breakfast, birthday card, late checkout and candies surprise) are indeed very much appreciated! The Aloft is one of the best hotels in Portland! It’s always reasonably priced for such a modern and clean location. The staff is super friendly. We had a room with a window overlooking parts of Commercial Street and the adjacent hotels. It was relaxing to watch the snow come down from our room. They also have a great lobby and bar to hang out at. If I had to nitpick, I would have loved to see the football games on the big TV by the bar instead of a screen saver running all day. We would have stayed there to watch the Pats game. However, the TV that has the XBOX was able to stream the games from YouTube TV, which is a plus, but another family was utilizing that.

Overall not bad for a basic stay. Staff were friendly and rooms are as expected. Breakfast could be improved as the meats weren’t hot and pastries were quite stale.

My daughter, her partner and I had a fantastic stay.  Comfortable, quiet and so close to everything!

The hotel is a business type, good, simple, but everything is available, parking 20 knives a day. By the sea, it is very good to walk, it is also a tourist attraction, and it is very lively in the town market. There is also a relatively large church in the town. The glass painting inside is very attractive to me. The locals are very friendly, the seafood is super delicious, the oysters are not too tired, the lobster morning market, 9.9 knives. Unforgettable town of Portland

Rooms are ok , little bit on the older style but decent . Should get rid of the carpet though

This is a nice enough hotel, comfortable and quiet. I find the hotel could use a little refurbishing but all in all, good value for the money in the location it has. For me it’s close to the bus station for a layover for Boston or heading up the coast of Maine
