Hotels near Zona Expo, Guadalajara

I really enjoyed my stay at La Villa del Ensueño. It is a charming boutique hotel full of Mexican character, with colorful walls, beautiful courtyards, greenery and lovely traditional details throughout the property. What impressed me most was the service. The staff were extremely friendly, warm and helpful, and made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. I also loved the complimentary evening drinks — I enjoyed both a tequila and a margarita! 🍹 Breakfast was another highlight. Instead of a simple buffet, it was a proper sit-down, made-to-order breakfast with a good selection. I had the chicken chilaquiles with both salsa verde and salsa roja, and really enjoyed it. A beautiful little hotel with lots of character and excellent hospitality. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Guadalajara. ❤️

The facilities are new and stylishly designed. The rooftop terrace is perfect for relaxation with great views. There's a subway station downstairs, and plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The owners, a very welcoming couple, invited me to the local Posada festival, which featured abundant food and a vibrant festive atmosphere – highly recommended! All room facilities and access control are card-operated, ensuring privacy and security. Tourist attractions are located not far to the west and east, making it very convenient with a tourist card.

I absolutely love this place perfect location nice rooms hot water ac friendly staff everything is close by u go to the right there’s stores u go to the left there’s stores with. Great prices there’s lots of food nearby large waiting area. And once u leave they hold ur suitcase for u so u can finish shopping around n when ur ready to leave they help u get a cab I have no complaints

The hotel room is quite large and clean, and the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. The hotel breakfast is also very rich, and Tacos is recommended. The only downside is that there is no free water.

In the city center, the price/performance ratio is very high, quiet, advanced facilities, and good service attitude. It is a few steps away from the square and the subway. It is clean and hygienic, and there is a small bar next door.

The location of the hotel is very good right in the middle of the city center. The entrance is very small and somewhat dark, but the corridor of each floor is very bright. The room is a medium size, but not that clean. I faced a serious problem. I could not open the safe in my room.  I asked for help at the reception, but the person in charge of the safe had a day-off, and would not come to the hotel on the day and the next because they fell on weekend. I was fortunate enough to stay there for two nights.  The person in charge came to my room on the morning of my departure. This is a typical budget-price hotel. I could not have moved at all if I had stayed there only for one night because I put my passport and much cash in the safe.

I stayed for a week here at Free Spirit and absolutely loved it. It is a very special place in a great location full of excellent people. The service was second to none and I felt extremely welcome. I could not recommend this place enough for young travellers, solo travellers, LGBTQ+ travellers, and anyone who is looking to relax bohemian style in Guadalajara. There are parties on the rooftop and also a lovely yoga studio with aromatherapy and other great activities. I would most definitely come back to stay here and I highly recommend others to check it out too. Thank you for everything Free Spirit!
